It’s England vs. Scotland as Marc Diakiese faces Stevie Ray at UFC London next March.

Another day, another fight heading across the pond. UFC London continues to grow, and this time, it’s lightweights joining the card. On Tuesday, the promotion announced via social media that Marc Diakiese and Stevie Ray would face off at the Fight Night event. The fight will have both men coming off wins, and looking to improve their standing in the deep 155lb division.

Diakiese (14-3), 26-years old, is a Brit of Congolese descent fighting out of Doncaster, England. ‘Bonecrusher’ has defeated Joe Duffy and Lando Vannata in his past two outings. That snapped a three-fight skid that lasted the entirety of 2017 and 2018. The fighter, who has trained with ATT and London Shootfighters, will hope to carry this year’s momentum into 2020 against Ray, who also recently rebounded.

Scotland’s Ray (23-9) took home a majority decision over Michael Johnson at UFC Singapore back in October. He’s 2-1 in his past three fights overall, and has fought some stiff competition, including Joe Lauzon and Paul Felder, since joining the UFC in 2015 after stints in BAMMA and Cage Warriors.

UFC London (UFC Fight Night 171) takes place March 21, 2020 at the O2 Arena in London, England. The main event is expected to featured former champ Tyron Woodley taking on rising contender Leon Edwards at welterweight.
