Another piece has fallen into place for the UFC London card. On Monday, UFC officials announced that featherweights Gabriel Benitez and Lerone Murphy would face off at the Fight Night event.

Benitez (21–7) has struggled to find consistency in recent years, fighting just once in both 2018 and 2019. He’ll start off 2020 by heading to London, looking to bounce back from a TKO loss to Sodiq Yusuff at UFC 241 back in August.
Born in and fighting out of Tijuana, Mexico, Benitez was a cast member on The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 1 in 2014. He made his debut for the promotion later that year, defeating Humberto Brown. Overall, he’s 5-3 in the company to date.
Welcoming Gabriel Benitez to merry old England will be Lerone Murphy. Undefeated as a pro, Murphy (8-0-1) most recently battled Zubaira Tukhugov to a draw at UFC 242 this past September. That fight was the Stockport, England native’s octagon debut.
UFC London (UFC Fight Night 171) is set to take place March 21, 2020 at the O2 Arena in London, England. A welterweight contest featuring Tyron Woodley taking on Leon Edwards is expected to headline the event. Assuming Edwards doesn’t bring up Woodley’s rap career again.
