Tyson Nam hits the octagon for the second time when he meets Kai Kara-France at UFC Auckland.
Another addition to the UFC Auckland card has been revealed. On Thursday, Stuff New Zeleand was first to report that local talent Kai Kara-France was joining the card, where he’ll take on Tyson Nam.
For Kara-France, it’s a quick turnaround after a loss to Brandon Moreno just under two weeks ago. That loss, at UFC 245, was a unanimous decision that ended an eight-fight win streak predating the Kiwi’s time in the UFC. Aside from the loss, he has wins over Mark De La Rosa and Raulian Paiva in 2019.
Tyson Nam (18-10-1), a veteran of MMA who has come to the UFC relatively late in his career, is 0-1 inside the octagon so far. He fell to the since-departed (to Bellator) Sergio Pettis at at UFC Mexico City in September.
The UFC Auckland card goes down February 23, 2020 at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. The card to date breaks down as follows:
