Andrea Lee and Lauren Murphy are set to throw down in Houston, Texas this February, as the flyweight pair will battle it out in the Lone Star State.
UFC flyweights Andrea Lee (11-3) and Lauren Murphy (11-4) will clash in a key 125lb fight this February.
MMA Fighting was first to report the pairing, which will see KGB Lee returning to the cage for the first time since what was considered a possible title eliminator against Joanne Calderwood. Lee and Murphy both later confirmed the date and location.
Unfortunately, Lee came up short that night at UFC 242 in Setpember. She’ll now look to bounce back against Murphy, a veteran of The Ultimate Fighter 26.
Murphy is a former Invicta FC bantamweight champion, who was actually an active member of the UFC roster when she took the chance to appear on TUF. She’s 3-2 in her last five bouts, and is coming off a loss over Mara Romero Borella at UFC on ESPN 5.
Andrea Lee vs. Lauren Murphy will go down February 8, 2020 in Houston, Texas. The card is yet to be officially announced. Houston however was in the running for a PPV, and Ariel Helwani previously let slip that the February 8 date would be a PPV. That would make this card UFC 247, if everything pans out.
