The UFC’s return to New York had one final hurdle to clear, with the UFC 244 official weigh-in set to go down Friday morning.
With two of MMA’s most entertaining characters topping the card, the UFC was back in the Big Apple this week. Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal were battling for something called the BMF belt at UFC 244, and whether you believed that belt was necessary to elevate the affair to something PPV worthy, one thing was certain: Diaz vs. Masvidal was a fight fans could get behind.
Despite the lack of any real championship, meanwhile, the UFC 244 card was deep. Gastelum vs. Till. Thompson vs. Luque. Lee vs. Gillespie. A light heavyweight scrap between Johnny Walker and Corey Anderson with possible title implications.
One last hurdle awaited, with the official weigh-in set to go down Friday morning. Special attention would be paid to Darren Till, who due to visa issues arrived in New York City late. Whether that late arrival would impact his weight cut remained to be seen.
Check back for the official weigh-in results starting at 9AM ET!
