Canada’s Tanner Boser will return in December to take on undefeated heavyweight Ciryl Gane at UFC Busan.
After finally making his debut at UFC Boston in October, Canada’s Tanner Boser is wasting no time getting a second fight in this year. Boser (17-5-1), who defeated Daniel Spitz at the ESPN event in Beantown, will take on the undefeated Ciryl Gane (5-0) at UFC Busan in December, the promotion announced Friday.

Boser, a Unified MMA heavyweight champion, was expected to make his promotional debut at UFC 240 in Edmonton earlier this year. However, after opponent Giacomo Lemos failed a drug test, Boser was removed from the card. He had a good showing against Spitz, and a memorable post-fight media scrum, putting his stock on the rise.
Gane, meanwhile, has remained undefeated through two UFC fights to date. Gane made his debut against Raphael Pessoa at UFC Uruguay in August, earning a submission win. He followed that up with a heel hook victory against Don’Tale Mayes at UFC Singapore just a week ago — cementing himself as a serious danger on the ground.
Boser, however, has never been submitted, and has only been finished once in his professional career.
UFC Busan (UFC Fight Night 165 / UFC on ESPN+ 23) takes place December 21, 2019 at the Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea. The card is headlined by a featherweight firefight between The Korean Zombie and Brian Ortega.
