Several fighters took to Twitter to react to the news that Nate Diaz may be out of the BMF title fight at UFC 244 next Saturday.
Earlier today, Nate Diaz tweeted out that he was potentially being flagged for a USADA violation and that he would not be competing at UFC 244 next week in his highly anticipated clash with Jorge Masvidal. The tweet in question:
Your all on steroids not me pic.twitter.com/ykrZmRIoPS

Naturally, fighters from around the MMA world all chimed in with their thoughts on the news, with reactions ranging from damning to forgiving with plenty in-between. Here is what they had to say about Nate Diaz’s announcement.
Not listed, the now deleted tweet from this morning’s headline maker, Conor McGregor, who was quick to chime in.
“There’s only one Bad Mother Fucker in this game and he is the weight jumping, sport crossing, country invading, whiskey drinking Irish animal typing this tweet right now. Right here from his presidential suite at the Ritz Carlton in downtown Moscow. See you all soon” -Conor McGregor
guess when nate diaz said everyone was on steroids he was including himself 😂

Something is wrong here. Nate is one of the cleanest fighters in the game, this has to be a mistake on USADA’s part. https://t.co/AlnPqiAZlM

This is bullshit. Nate’s been clean his whole career and is being fucked with by the UFC https://t.co/dq3nUTK6Zw

In particular, UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones stepped forward to tell Diaz to fight to prove his innocence and defend the honor of his career.
Not many people in the world know what you’re feeling right now, I do. Keep your head up man. I knew I was innocent and was willing to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless hours with scientists and lawyers to prove it.

I know you feel like someone is setting you up, that’s exactly how I felt. At times its going to feel like a pretty hopeless situation but maybe it’s not, you can’t just give up and do nothing. This is a different type of fight man, you owe it to your fans to fight it.

As Thursday night winds down, it is unclear what the final result will be and if Diaz will be clear to fight next Saturday. However, the most telling response came from his UFC 244 opponent Jorge Masvidal who appears optimistic that the two will indeed collide in New York.
You not the baddest mofo in the game (i am) but you are one of the cleanest mofo’s @NateDiaz209 I’ll see you nov 2. I know your name is clean. I don’t need @usantidoping to tell me shit!
