UFC Boston looks to examine whether Chris Weidman can cut it at 205lbs, and who the better prospect is between Maycee Barber and Gillian Robertson.
UFC Boston (UFC on ESPN 6) is set to go down in less than 24 hours, with a number of fascinating storylines permeating the card. First and foremost is the move to light heavyweight by former middleweight champ Chris Weidman. With little weight to cut, how will the 185lb’er fare with the bigger men, 20lbs up?
Then there is the grudge match between Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez. Weeks after their first fight ended in a no contest (due to an eye poke suffered by Stephens), somehow, this fight feels bigger than ever. Whether it lives up the expectations is the question.
And who will win the prospect battle between Gillian Robertson and Maycee Barber?
The final stop in the promotional tour ahead of the card was the ceremonial weigh-in. Cageside Press was on hand in Boston — check out a gallery of highlights below!
