Winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2 at lightweight, Barzola (16–4–1) will enter UFC Singapore off a win over Bobby Moffett. A native of Lima, Peru, ‘El Fuerte’ would lose his next bout, against Kyle Bochniak, before rattling off four straight wins at 145lbs. That streak was snapped by a loss to Kevin Aguilar, before Barzola bounced back opposite Moffett.
Movsar Evloev, meanwhile, remains undefeated at 11-0. He’s had a string of fights cancelled, including bouts against Zhenhong Lu, and Mike Grundy back in August. Evloev won his debut in the UFC against Seung Woo Choi at UFC St. Petersburg, but hasn’t fought since. Prior to the UFC, the Russian was the reigning M-1 bantamweight champion.
UFC Singapore (UFC Fight Night 162 / UFC on ESPN+ 20) takes place Saturday, October 26 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. The event is headlined by a welterweight dream match between Ben Askren and Demian Maia, two of the best grapplers in the sport.
