The Korean Zombie will have a nation behind him when he faces Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC Busan.
As expected, South Korea’s biggest fighting star will top UFC Busan in December. The booking of Chan Sung Jung, a.k.a. The Korean Zombie, was a no-brainer, and the UFC has now confirmed that the featherweight has been matched up against former title challenger Brian Ortega.

Zombie (15–5) is coming off a TKO win over Renato Moicano in June. That win was a bounce back victory after his last-second loss to Yair Rodriguez at UFC Denver, the result of a Hail Mary up elbow. Since returning from mandatory military service in his native South Korea, the 32-year old has gone 2-1, with all three fights earning post-fight bonuses.
Brian Ortega (14-1, 1NC) has not fought since losing a title bid to Max Holloway last year. That defeat was the first of his professional career, as he had torn up the featherweight ranks en route to the title shot. With wins over the likes of Clay Guida, Cub Swanson, and Frankie Edgar, Ortega remains a name to be reckoned with.
UFC Busan (UFC Fight Night 165 / UFC on ESPN+ 23) takes place December 21, 2019 at the Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea. The event is the final show of the year for the promotion.
