The UFC Vancouver card is official, with all but a single fighter making weight Friday morning.
With all twenty-four fighters hitting the scales Friday morning ahead of UFC Vancouver, Saturday’s Fight Night card was official. For the most part, it was an orderly affair with a couple of breaks. Jimmy Crute was first to weigh in with a towel, one of the earliest fighters to hit the scales. He jokingly grabbed the barrier, Daniel Cormier-style, but weighed in with ease, a full pound to spare at light heavyweight.
Uriah Hall was in a jovial mood as well, flashing up some middle fingers in jest (Stockton have any vacancies?). Donald Cerrone brought son Danger along with him, and was in full dad mode.
Justin Gaethje, when he finally hit the scale, was still slick with sweat from his weight cut. He hit the mark, however, and in the end, only Brazil’s Michel Pereira missed weight, coming in at a pound over the upper welterweight limit of 171lbs.
