After an injury to Beneil Dariush, and no suitable replacement opponent turning up, Drakkar Klose is off the UFC Sacramento card this weekend.
The MMA gods have frowned on Drakkar Klose, it seems. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Klose’s opponent for UFC Sacramento this weekend, Beneil Dariush, had been injured, and forced out of the pair’s anticipated lightweight scrap. Klose, not surprisingly, was not amused, and took to Instagram to mock Dariush.
“I heard you hurt your little piggies,” wrote Klose. “That’s straight p*ssy to me. I fought Marc and Teymur with a broken hand and then fought Lando and Green with a f*cked up elbow. #bitchmade #weeweeweeallthewayhome”
Well, it appears that no replacement opponent could be found for Klose, who again took to Instagram to announce the bad news.
“I would like to inform all my Friends, Family, and Fans who bought tickets to come see me fight in Sacramento, unfortunately I will not be fighting on the card. It’s been a long 24hrs for myself and my team. We are hoping to be placed on an upcoming Card soon. I’m sorry again for the inconvenience. We all lost money on this one, I could have potentially walked away with over 100k and now I go home with nothing, but apparently that is part of the game. Thank you for all the support hoping to get back in there soon.
PS. Stay in School!!”
Klose (10-1-1), a Michigan native, last fought in December, earning a unanimous decision against Bobby Green. He is currently sitting on a two-fight win streak.
