Cage Warriors bantamweight champion Jack Shore has signed a contract with the UFC.
Undefeated Cage Warriors bantamweight king Jack Shore has signed a contact with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), his manager and Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan announced on his Instagram.
Jack Shore, 24, is undefeated as a professional and amateur throughout his fighting career. The Welshman went 12-0 as an amateur, winning Gold at the 2015 IMMAF European Open Championships as a lightweight before turning professional in 2016. As a professional, Shore has gone 11-0, including 10 wins inside the Cage Warriors promotion. He started his professional career as a featherweight, where he gathered seven wins before dropping down to bantamweight in 2018. Since the drop down to bantamweight, Shore defeated UFC veteran Vaughan Lee, and up-and-coming prospects Mike Ekundayo and Scott Malone respectively.
Since winning the bantamweight crown at Cage Warriors 97 over late replacement Weslley Maia, Shore managed to defend this title two times, over the aforementioned Ekundayo and Malone at Cage Warriors 100 and 104 respectively. Out of his 11 professional wins, ten have come by way of finish, with the only decision victory coming over the UFC veteran Vaughan Lee.
Shore is the #1 ranked bantamweight in the United Kingdom and Ireland per Tapology, and has proven he is UFC ready during his Cage Warriors appearances. The Welshman, who trains out of Tillery Combat MMA Academy has a well-rounded game and is confident to exchange on the feet, or on the ground with his slick submissions. The Welshman has a finishers instinct, with 91-percent of his wins coming via finish.
The Welsh prospect does not currently have an opponent or location set for his debut inside the Octagon. Keep an eye here on Cageside Press, where we will report on the story when it is announced.
