Bellator 219 is being overlooked in a weekend full of fights, but it will be the first big event tomorrow night and its weigh-ins were earlier today.
Bellator 219 was originally headlined by a great welterweight matchup between Lorenz Larkin and Andrey Koreshkov. However, Larkin pulled out and the new main event is a battle of Bellator mainstays in Saad Awad and Brandon Girtz.
Also on the main card two-time featherweight champion Daniel Straus moves up to lightweight to take on Shane Kruchten. Andrey Koreshkov also stayed on the card to welcome Mike Jasper to Bellator. Opening up the main card will be kickboxing great Joe Schilling in his ninth MMA fight against Keith Berry.
A post-lim fight between Weber Almeida and Johnny Soto was canceled after Almeida failed to make weight. Soto was compensated with his show money. David Pacheco also missed weight for his lightweight post-lim bout, but that fight will happen tomorrow night.
