South Korean featherweight stud Sung Bin Jo has signed with the UFC.

Get to Know Sung Bin Jo:

Sung Bin Jo was born and is still residing in Seoul, South Korea. Training out of Extreme Combat in Goyang, South Korea, he also spends time at the well-known Tiger Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand, as well. The Korean started watching a boxing anime at a young age. He was impressed by the main character in the anime and that got him into MMA. Other than MMA, Jo has also had some experience in Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and jiu-jitsu. With no prior amateur MMA experience, Jo made his pro debut in December of 2014. In his first three fights, Jo won the ACF Featherweight title and the WCF featherweight title in Osaka, Japan. In his last bout in February of 2018, Jo won the Top FC title out of his home town in Seoul, South Korea. At 9-0 with a 100-percent finish rate and three promotional titles, Jo is ready to make a splash in the featherweight division.

How Will Sung Bin Jo Fare in the UFC:

There isn’t much footage on Jung, but from all I saw, this is an A+ signing. The Korean Falcon is mainly a striker with a good jab and a right cross. Jo is very technical, as he will throw in bunches and attack the body very well. I haven’t seen much on the mat from Jo but he’s shown stellar takedown defense. He has solid cardio and good output throughout his fights. As far as weaknesses go, there aren’t any glaring holes. In his last fight, he had trouble taking leg kicks as he failed to check any. That area can be approved easily and I really think Jo has a high ceiling in the UFC.

Neither a debut date or opponent has been set yet.
