The biggest card of the year to date for the promotion, UFC 235’s early weigh-ins were set to go down Friday in Las Vegas.

UFC 235 goes down Saturday, March 2, in case you’ve been living under a rock. The biggest event of 2019 thus far, the quick turnaround for Jon Jones has everyone talking. A fresh opponent at 205lbs for the light heavyweight champ has them talking as well. And if that wasn’t enough, add in the welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Kamaru Usman. Mix in a dash of Ben Askren making his UFC debut opposite former champ Robbie Lawler. And a pinch of Cody Garbrandt against Pedro Munhoz, topped by Tecia Torres vs. Weili Zhang.

We lost track of exactly what recipe we’re making there. You probably shouldn’t eat it. You should, however, watch UFC 235. And follow along with the early weigh-ins, to see keep up-to-date on any mishaps at the scale. Fighters were set to weigh-in on Friday morning — we’ll keep you posted.

The co-main event weighed in early for UFC 235, with both Tyron Woodley and Kamaru Usman making the limit with seeming ease. Ben Askren, who said earlier in the morning that he was on point, weighed in with a towel, joking that “you guys have been waiting years for this shi*t!” He was on-point as well, at 170.5 for his welterweight fight with Robbie Lawler. Then hit the scale again for a photo op.

After thirty minutes, only three fighters remained. Robbie Lawler, Anthony Smith, and Alejandro Perez. Lawler would be the first of the last, hitting 170lbs an hour into weigh-ins. Anthony Smith weighed in a little later at 204.5, making the main event official! With Perez weighing in successfully a little after that, all fighters made weight, and UFC 235 was a go!
