Charles Oliveira will be looking for another record-setting submission against David Teymur at UFC Fortaleza early next month.
Here’s a fight that should get MMA fans excited. Charles Oliveira, who holds the UFC record for most submission finishes, will face the highly-touted David Teymur at UFC Fortaleza next month. Also known as UFC on ESPN+ 2 (and UFC Fight Night 144, for those keeping count), the card features a ton of Brazilian talent, including four big names on the main card: Jose Aldo vs. Renato Moicano, and Marlon Moraes vs. Raphael Assuncao, respectively.
Add Oliveira (25-8) to that list. He’s making a quick return after defeating Jim Miller at UFC on FOX 31 just last month in Milwaukee. UFC officials announced the pairing on social media Wednesday.

With the Miller victory, Oliveira has won three straight. All three have come via submission. Overall, the Brazilian is 4-1 since returning to the 155lb division after struggling to make the featherweight limit. The fight against Teymur will be contested at lightweight.
David Teymur (8-1) has not lost as a pro since 2013. He has won all five of his UFC bouts to date. That includes wins over Nik Lentz, Drakkar Klose, and Lando Vannata.
UFC Fortaleza takes place February 2 at the Northeast Olympic Training Center in Fortaleza, Brazil.
