Drew Dober vs. Beneil Dariush is the latest addition to the quickly-growing UFC Wichita (UFC Fight Night 146) card.
UFC Wichita has added a promising lightweight battle. The UFC’s debut in the Kansas city will include Beneil Dariush taking on Drew Dober. Dober himself announced the pairing on social media. The bout joins Junior Dos Santos vs. Derrick Lewis, who face off in the main event of the March card.
Dober (20–8, 1NC) first came onto the UFC radar when he appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 15. After being eliminated in the entry round, he was called up for the TUF 18 Finale, stepping in on short notice against Sean Spencer. He’s been with the company ever since. Since 2013, Dober has gone 6-4 (1NC) with the promotion. He’s currently on a three-fight winning streak, which includes victories over Josh Burkman, Frank Camacho, and Jon Tuck.
The Nebraska native will look to extend that winning streak against Beneil Dariush. Dariush (15-4-1) is coming off a win over Thiago Moisés that was his first since 2016. Overall, he’s 1-2-1 in his last four, after starting his UFC career at 8-2.
UFC Wichita (UFC Fight Night 146) takes place March 9 at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
