Gina Carano and Miesha Tate, two of the biggest names in women’s MMA history, were among the pros expressing their shock at Amanda Nunes’ stunning knockout of Cris Cyborg at UFC 232 on Saturday.

Amanda Nunes has completed one hell of a trifecta. At UFC 232, she knocked out the fearsome Cris Cyborg in highlight reel fashion after storming out of the gate. With the win, ‘The Lioness’ becomes the first ever double champ among women in the UFC. She also now has wins over Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, and Cris Cyborg β€” a.k.a. the three biggest stars on the women’s side of the sport.

Nunes came out firing, and took a few good shots from the heavy-hitting Cyborg. The now-former women’s featherweight champ was rocked early by her fellow Brazilian, but it took a number of ferocious blows by Nunes to finally put her down.

Cyborg (20-2, 1NC) had not lost since her very first fight as a professional. She spent over a decade undefeated, before Nunes did the unthinkable Saturday night in Los Angeles. Talk will now turn to a possible immediate rematch, given the lack of a true 145lb division for women in the UFC, and Cyborg’s long history of dominance. However, for now, Nunes (17-4) gets to bask in the moment.

Plenty of fighters gave their response to the upset, including former women’s bantamweight champ Miesha Tate, and ex-Cyborg opponent Gina Carano. See the pros react below!
