Catch all the highlights from Friday’s Invicta FC 33 weigh-ins, including former featherweight champ Megan Anderson stopping by for a little fun!
Invicta FC 33 was set to go down live Saturday, December 15 in Kansas City, MO. Airing on UFC Fight Pass with a preliminary card streaming on Facebook, the event was topped by an atomweight title fight rematch between champ Jihn Yu Frey and Minna Grusander. Frey defeated Finland’s Grusander in July to win the title, but the decision was not without its controversy. Hence the two were booked into an instant rematch, that would hopefully eliminate all doubt as to who the better atomweight really was.
All fighters hit the scales Friday, with only Jamie Moyle missing weight — and how. Moyle came in a full weight class above the contracted weight for her strawweight fight against Brianna Van Buren. The fight was re-negotiated as a flyweight bout, with Moyle fined 25% of her purse.
Ex-featherweight champ Megan Anderson also stopped by her old stomping grounds, having a little fun with Alesha Zappitella.

* The bout between Moyle and Van Buren, originally to be contested at strawweight, will now be a flyweight contest after Moyle weighed in above the strawweight limit. Moyle was fined 25 percent of her purse.
