Kay Hansen will make a quick turnaround in a short notice fight against Sharon Jacobson at Invicta FC 33 next week.
Teenage Invicta star Kay Hansen isn’t wasting any time furthering her MMA career. On Thursday, the promotion announced that the teen would step in to replace the injured Kanako Murata at Invicta FC 33, which takes place just next week in Kansas City. She’ll take on Sharon Jacobson at the event. It will be Kansen’s fifth fight of 2018, and sixth in little over a year. She made her professional debut at Invicta FC 26 in December of last year.
Hansen, just 19, is 3-2 as a pro, and 2-2 under the Inivcta FC banner. She suffered her second defeat as a professional at Invicta FC 32 last month, losing a majority decision to Erin Blanchfield. Prior to that, Hansen had been on a two-fight winning streak. All three of her wins to date have come via stoppage.
Jacobson (5-3) will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Emi Fujino in Pancrase when she steps into the cage opposite Hansen at Invicta FC 33. Jacobson has traded wins and losses across her last four fights, and holds notable wins over Jamie Moyle and Ashley Nichols.
Invicta FC 33 takes place Saturday, December 15 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, MO. The card airs exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
