Next month’s UFC Argentina finally has a co-main event. On Tuesday, the UFC announced via social media that Ricardo Lamas would meet Darren Elkins in the penultimate fight of the evening. The event, otherwise known as UFC Fight Night 140, takes place November 17, and marks the promotion’s debut in the country. Neil Magny meets Argentina’s own Santiago Ponzinibbio in the main event.

Lamas (18–7) is a former featherweight title challenger in the UFC, having fought and lost to then-champ Jose Aldo at UFC 169 in 2014. Lamas has gone 5-4 in the promotion since then, falling on hard times of late as he’s lost two straight bouts. His most recent outing resulted in a split decision loss to Mirsad Bektić at UFC 225.
‘The Bully’ will look to bounce back against Darren Elkins (24–6), who had a six fight win streak snapped in his last fight. That came against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC Boise. Prior to losing a decision against Volkanovski, however, Elkins had got the better of Michael Johnson, Dennis Bermudez, and Bektić, among others.
UFC Fight Night 140 goes down at the Mary Terán de Weiss Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
