PFL 10 marks the final event for the Professional Fighters League prior to its season finale this December. In action Saturday night, the league playoffs were set to continue with the welterweight and middleweight divisions closing out this leg of the post-season. The card would see quarterfinal and semifinal action in both divisions, with successful fighters going to war twice in one night to make it to the million dollar finals at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve.
Among the notable names on Saturday’s card, Jake Shields was set for a rematch with Ray Cooper III, who beat him during the regular season. Rick Story, meanwhile, was facing off with Handesson Ferreira. TUF winner Eddie Gordon was back, taking on John ‘Doomsday’ Howard, and Abubakar Nurmagomedov stepped in on short notice against former UFC talent Bojan Velickovic.
