France’s Tom Duquesnoy will face England’s Nathaniel Wood in bantamweight action at UFC 232, the UFC’s final PPV of 2018.
The UFC’s final event of 2018 continues to grow. On Thursday, the promotion announced that French bantamweight Tom Duquesnoy would face Nathaniel Wood at UFC 232. The card is the final UFC show of the year, headlined by a pair of title fights, including the return of Jon Jones as he meets Alexander Gustafsson for the second time.

Duquesnoy (16-2, 1NC), a.k.a. ‘The Fire Kid,’ will enter the fight off a win over Terrion Ware that got the former BAMMA champion back in the win column following a loss to Cody Stamann at UFC 216. The French standout had been undefeated since 2013 prior to that setback.
Under the BAMMA banner, Tom Duquesnoy put up impressive numbers, capturing both the featherweight and bantamweight titles in the promotion.
Nathanial Wood (14-3) made a big splash in his UFC debut, submitting Johnny Eduardo by Brabo choke at UFC Fight Night 131 in June. A English native, he’ll help make this a classic England vs. France battle, and put a six fight win streak on the line at UFC 232.
UFC 232 takes place December 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. In addition to the main event of Jones vs. Gustafsson 2 (for the light heavyweight title set to be stripped from Daniel Cormier), Cris Cyborg will defend her featherweight title against bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes in the co-headliner.
