Greg Hardy’s seemingly unstoppable march to the UFC continues later this month, as he’ll appear for Xtreme Fight Nights against Ray Jones exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
Former NFL’er turned heavyweight Greg Hardy, notorious for a domestic abuse case that has dogged him for several years, has his next fight set. Hardy, who has fought twice as a pro on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, is under a developmental deal with the UFC. Now, he’ll stick with UFC Fight Pass, but try his luck with another promotion, appearing at XFN 352. The card airs exclusively on the streaming service on September 29.

Hardy (2-0) defeated fellow former NFL star Austen Lane in June on the Contender Series, and followed that up by besting Tebaris Gordon on the show in August. Both fights ended with first round knockouts. The back-to-back pro wins followed a 3-0 run as an amateur for Hardy. Both fighters, prospects themselves, were undefeated until meeting Hardy, who trains with American Top Team.
Though the UFC has taken its share of flack for dealing with an athlete who has a history of domestic violence, the more Hardy wins, the easier it will be for the promotion to bring him on board as a member of the roster. That will be the hope when Hardy meets Ray Jones at Xtreme Fight Night 352. Unlike Hardy’s previous competition, Jones is winless as a pro, at 0-1. However, he has won as an amateur.
XFN 352 takes place September 29 at the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
