On Monday, Shreveport Police announced that they had procured a warrant for the arrest of Donny Aaron, husband of UFC star Andrea Lee.
After an argument on the night of UFC 227 earlier this month spilled over into violence, police in Shreveport, LA have obtained a warrant for the arrest of Donny Aaron, husband and coach of UFC flyweight Andrea Lee. The incident immediately made the news due to Lee’s high profile, and thanks to a number of scandals involving Aaron, including his refusal to cover up hate-inspired tattoos after they were revealed earlier this year.
In a press release Monday, Shreveport PD stated that on the night of the incident, “arriving officers learned that 43-year-old Donald Aaron… allegedly battered the victim causing minor injury. Officers interviewed witnesses and the victim and collected physical evidence.”
Continuing, the statement read that “investigators with Shreveport Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit were assigned to the case and following additional interviews, procured warrants for Aaron charging him with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery and one count of False Imprisonment. His bond totals $2,500.00. Investigators believe that Aaron may be in Georgia.”
Lee’s friend and training partner Andy Nguyen gave a lengthy statement regarding the incident that indicated Aaron had fled the scene. Aaron was previously incarcerated for killing a man.
Per Monday’s release, Shreveport Police are asking anyone with information on Aaron’s exact whereabouts to contact investigators at 318-673-6955, or choose to remain anonymous by contacting Shreveport Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373, Lockemup.org, or via their app P3 Tips.
