Featherweight Chad Mendes capped off his big return at UFC Boise with a finish of Myles Jury, and hilarious callout of Brock Lesnar. See what the pros had to say.

Chad ‘Money’ Mendes was a staple of the UFC featherweight division right up until he wasn’t. Or, more accurately, right up until a USADA drug test failure saw him banished from the promotion for two full years. That was way back in 2016. And while the debate over a clean sport, and USADA’s effectiveness in the UFC thus far, is one for another day, one thing is certain: the featherweight division missed Chad Mendes.

That much was made clear with his display at UFC Boise. In Idaho on Saturday, Mendes stepped into the cage for the first time in twenty-four months and made short work of Myles Jury. Jury is always a game fighter, certainly not an easy out for anyone in the division. Yet ‘Money’ made it look easy, rocking ‘Fury’ with a left hand then swarming with ground and pound.

A finish that ferocious is exactly what the 145lb division was lacking. And after jokingly calling out Brock Lesnar post-fight, Mendes put the top five on notice, saying he wanted a highly ranked opponent next.

Given he’s a multi-time title challenger in the UFC, he should get it. Especially given that statement win on Saturday at UFC Boise.
