Former Invicta FC strawweight champ Angela Hill will look to make it two in a row in the UFC when she faces Alexa Grasso at UFC Lincoln in August.
UFC Lincoln looks to have an intriguing strawweight tilt on deck. According to a report by MMA Weekly, former Invicta FC strawweight champion Angela Hill will meet fellow prospect Alexa Grasso at the event. Hill, who is on her second run in the UFC after starting in the promotion with The Ultimate Fighter 20, will look to build off a recent win, while Grasso will be trying to rebound from a loss.
Hill had been campaigning hard for a fight of late, and recently confirmed she had signed a bout agreement.

Hill (8–4) had just one professional fight when she joined The Ultimate Fighter 20 back in 2014. After being eliminated in the opening round by eventual winner Carla Esparza on the show, she defeated Emily Kagan at the TUF 20 Finale. That success was short-lived, however: two straight losses to standout 115lb’ers Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas saw her bumped down to Invicta FC. There, however, Hill flourished. Winning four straight, she picked up the promotion’s 115lb title and defended it once before returning to the UFC in early 2017. ‘Overkill’ has gone 2-2 on her current run, most recently earning a unanimous decision win against Maryna Moroz at UFC Orlando.
Alexa Grasso (10–2), who also did a tour of Invicta FC prior to joining the UFC, started her professional MMA career a perfect 9-0. However, she has hit a couple of stumbling blocks of late, most recently in the form of Tatiana Suarez. Suarez submitted Grasso just last month at UFC Santiago. Prior to that, Grasso had won a close fight against Canada’s Randa Markos, but unfortunately missed weight for the bout.
UFC Lincoln, numerically UFC Fight Night 135, takes place August 25 at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
