Moncton, New Brunswick will be the next Canadian city to play host to the UFC, the promotion announced on Thursday.
On Thursday, the UFC announced its next Canadian date. And this time, it’s the East Coast that gets to experience the action. The promotion confirmed via social media that it will head to Moncton, New Brunswick this October, making its debut in the Canadian coastal city. No bouts were announced for the card, which for now will go by UFC Moncton.

In booking the Moncton date, the promotion marks its second trip to Canada this calendar year. A late July booking will hit Calgary, Alberta, as UFC on FOX 30 takes place at the Saddledome there. That card will be headlined by a rematch between lightweights Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier.
UFC Moncton, meanwhile, will see the card unfold at the brand new Moncton Events Centre. Moncton will become the eleventh Canadian city to host a UFC event, along with the likes of Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and others. The UFC has typically wandered up to the Great White North two to three times a year in recent years, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a third Canadian date announced for closer to December. Toronto and Montreal would likely be at the head of the pack in that case, the latter especially if Georges St. Pierre returns to action.
UFC Moncton takes place October 27. Expect bouts to be added closer to that date.
