After two years on the sidelines, Chad Mendes is getting back in action, facing Myles Jury at UFC Boise.

UFC Boise is shaping up into one seriously interesting card. Joining the likes of Sage Northcutt and Junior dos Santos is former title challenger Chad Mendes. Mendes, out of action for the past several years due to a USADA suspension, will be facing Myles Jury at the event. The UFC announced the bout Monday via social media, along with a previously unveiled match-up between Paul Felder and James Vick.

Mendes (17-4), now 33 years old, has not fought since a December 2015 loss to Frankie Edgar at the TUF 22 Finale. Mendes has challenged for gold in the UFC three times, twice against Jose Aldo for the 145lb title, and once against Conor McGregor for the interim belt in that very same weight class. Though he lost all three bouts, Mendes remained a perennial title contender in the featherweight division, beating a host of other names including Darren Elkins, Clay Guida, and Ricardo Lamas.

‘Money’ started his career a perfect 11-0, which included a stint in the WEC, which the UFC eventually acquired. However, in June 2016 it was announced he’d failed an out-of-competition drug test under USADA for a growth hormone. That put him on the shelf for two years.

Welcoming Chad Mendes back to the octagon will be Myles ‘Fury’ Jury. Jury (17–2) will head into the bout on the back of a two fight win streak. Most recently, he got the better of Rick Glenn via unanimous decision at UFC 219.

UFC Fight Night 133, as UFC Boise is otherwise known, takes place July 14, 2018 at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho.
