News that Conor McGregor was in New York for the upcoming UFC 223 card was met with excitement. Most figured he’d be cage side come Saturday, and perhaps even face off with the winner of the main event. Few expected what came next.
Conor McGregor sure knows how to make news, if you believe all press is good press, anyway. McGregor’s apparent rampage at the Barclay’s Center on Thursday, ahead of UFC 223, was not lost of his fellow fighters. Many of whom made comment on his antics — including current women’s featherweight champ Cris Cyborg, and former strawweight champion Carla Esparza, among others.
Condemnation of the stunt was nearly unanimous, as it should be. And by both attacking and injuring fellow fighters, ‘Mystic Mac’ has certainly not made himself any friends. Worse, he’s likely pushed his return date out even further, as untangling the legal mess he’s likely to find himself in could take months.

It's "damage control," at the moment. I doubt Conor will "never fight again." #ufc223 https://t.co/S2q9N22UjI

I wish mma media covered the positive things @ufc champions are doing to change their communities like they are doing this circus act for publicity.

2 ways to make a lot of money in the UFC:
A.) Be a scumbag (Connor McGregor)
B.) Sue a scumbag (Connor McGregor) for attacking you like a maniac

Disgusting. We need to rid the sport of fools like this. Back to being a plumbers apprentice you go!
— Ricardo Lamas (@RicardoLamasMMA) April 5, 2018
Exactly. If he wanted to, he could have. Hell… I can't imagine many people would want to come back when the options are Khabib, Holloway or Ferguson. "…erm… I'll stay over here… 👉🏼💰" 😂 https://t.co/1Q3qFqIkrf

In the Toulmin model, a warrant is the thing that links the evidence to the claim.
Conor’s call to be arrested is linking the evidentiary basis for our reasoning with our conclusions about MMA.
ESSAYS & ARGUMENTATION, BITCHES!

After the Jon Jones hit and run incident, Conor/Nate can throwing debacle, Jones/DC media fight, Lombard and a few other late punches, and now the new Conor chaos, I can’t help but think..”what does Paul Daley think of all of this?”

UFC 223 takes place this Saturday, April 7 at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. Khabib Nurmagomedov faces Max Holloway in the main event. Artem Lobov, who was part of the fracas at the Barclay’s Center on Thursday, has been pulled from the card. Also per President Dana White, McGregor will not be at the show.
McGregor himself has been silent since tweeting in response to his lightweight title being stripped:
You’s’ll strip me of nothing you’s do nothing cunts.
