The UFC’s next trip to Singapore will feature a battle of the Jessicas as ‘Jessy Jess’ (Jessica-Rose Clark) will take on Jessica Eye.
A tantalizing flyweight fight is in the works for UFC Singapore. As first reported by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani, Jessica-Rose Clark is being lined up with Jessica Eye at the event. The bout will see the ninth and tenth ranked flyweights throw down, and it appears the trash talk is already underway, at least on Eye’s part.
Well only picking you’ll be doing with me is that mouth piece up if you think I am just gonna let you have my lane in this division. Good luck and happy training 😈 #evil https://t.co/p6lwiqAkiq

Former bantamweight Eye (12–6 (1)) likely saved her spot on the UFC roster when she took home a split decision win against Kalindra Faria at UFC St. Louis in January. Prior to that, she had lost four straight at bantamweight, and five of her last six. Among those losses were names like Bethe Correia, Miesha Tate, and Sara McMann. With the win in her flyweight debut, ‘Evil’ Eye will look to prove she’s a force to be reckoned with at 125lbs.
Opponent Jessica-Rose Clark also appeared at UFC St. Louis, and was also victorious. ‘Jessy Jess’ took home a unanimous decision win against Paige Van Zant that night (check out what she told us about the scrap!). With the distraction of a robbery and the killing of a pet cat dogging her heading into the fight, she’ll no doubt be happy to get back into the octagon without any outside drama to contend with.
Interestingly enough, Eye had been campaigning for a fight with VanZant prior to January, and the pair had been booked to face each other at one point. Now, Eye gets the girl that beat the girl, and the winner could find herself in the division’s top five.
UFC Singapore, numerically UFC Fight Night 132, takes place June 23. A venue has yet to be announced for the event.
