England’s Kate Jackson will try to fend off a Russian invasion when she meets Anastasia Yankova at Bellator 200.
Bellator 200 continues to fill out, as the promotion’s milestone card in London has added a women’s flyweight fight. The bout will see former Ultimate Fighter competitor Kate Jackson face Russia’s Anastasia Yankova at the big event. Jackson announced the fight on social media earlier today.
So, it's official. I'm excited to announce that I'm fighting Anastasia Yankova on Bellator 200 in London on the 25th May. Who's coming?
I admit she's got me beat as far as breasts and dubious ideologies go, but not so much apart from that! #Bellator200 https://t.co/u6isd2vnj9 pic.twitter.com/C74rPTSzY1

“I admit she’s got me beat as far as breasts and dubious ideologies go, but not so much apart from that!” Jackson said in her announcement. The “dubious ideologies” comment is no doubt in regards to reports about Yankova’s connection to a white supremacist outfit known as White Rex. Her pro debut in 2013 came at an event put on by the Russian apparel company and occasional fight promotion, entitled White Rex: The Birth of a Nation.
“Not only is she going to lose her undefeated record,” Jackson added via Instagram, “she’s not going to make it as far as the judges’ scorecards either. Do I get to make jokes about Russians and the current political climate now…?”
Jackson (9-3), for her part, is coming off a unanimous decision loss at Bellator 191 at the hands of Valerie Letourneau. Prior to that, however, the English flyweight had won five straight, capped off by a win over Colleen Schneider at Bellator 182 last fall.
Anastasia Yankova, meanwhile, remains undefeated at 5-0. She has won three straight in Bellator MMA, with two of those fights coming in Turin, Italy. Yankova, however, has turned heads as much for her looks as for her performances in the cage, something Jackson no doubt had in mind when making her comments.
