Behold the most recent event posters from the UFC!
With Max Holloway falling out of the UFC 222 main event, and Cyborg Santos jumping in to save the day (along with promotional newcomer Yana Kunitskaya), a new poster was due for the event. On Friday, the UFC released just that — along with the official poster for UFC Glendale.
In the case of UFC 222: Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya, it’s worth noting that the promotion opted to stick with the style of the original Holloway vs. Edgar poster. And Edgar, who stayed on the card and will now take on fellow top featherweight Brian Ortega, is still one the one-sheet.
However, how the UFC managed to make Kunitskaya look drawn and trollish is rather curious.
Check out that poster below:
The UFC Glendale poster, meanwhile, ditches the yellow for something a little more subdued.
Interestingly, co-main event fighters Carlos Condit and Matt Brown get nearly as much face time as headliners Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier.
UFC 222 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV on March 3, with the main card airing on PPV. UFC Glendale, properly known as UFC on FOX 29, goes down April 14 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ. That card will air on the main FOX network after preliminary bouts on Fox Sports 1.
