The UFC Austin card has picked up three new fights, including Sarah Moras vs. Lucie Pudilova and Brian Camozzi vs. Geoff Neal.
On Wednesday, the UFC beefed up its UFC Austin lineup, adding three new bouts to the card. Numerically UFC Fight Night 126, the event now gets Sarah Moras vs. Lucie Pudilova, Brian Camozzi vs. Geoff Neal, and Joby Sanchez vs. Roberto Sanchez. No relation. The UFC unveiled the bouts on the UFC Austin fight card on its official website.
Canada’s Sarah Moras (5–2), fighting out of Kelowna, British Columbia, returns to the octagon following the biggest win of her career at UFC 215. There, ‘Cheesecake’ submitted Ashlee Evans-Smith via arm-bar in the very first round of their bantamweight scrap. A member of The Ultimate Fighter 18 cast, Moras has struggled to make it to the cage in recent years. She went as far as to launch a GoFundMe campaign in order to afford her UFC 215 training camp. Now, she’ll look to start stringing wins together.
Opponent Lucie Pudilova (7-2) has gone 1-1 in the UFC to date. She’ll enter UFC Fight Night 126 off a win over Ji Yeon Kim in Singapore last June.
In men’s welterweight action, meanwhile, Brian Camozzi (7-4) will look to snap a two fight losing streak when he faces Geoff Neal. Camozzi is the brother of UFC veteran Chris Camozzi. Neal (8-2), a.k.a. ‘Handz of Steel’ will be making his UFC debut against Camozzi. He won his way to the UFC after appearing on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 3 in July.
Finally, Joby Sanchez (11-2) vs. Roberto Sanchez (7-1) rounds out the additions to the UFC Austin card announced Wednesday. Joby Sanchez appeared twice on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders series, winning both bouts. Roberto Sanchez, meanwhile, won the inaugural LFA flyweight title in June 2017. He then lost his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 114 in August. That means he’ll be looking to bounce back in Austin.
UFC Fight Night 126 takes place at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX on February 18. Donald Cerrone faces Yancy Medeiros in the UFC Austin main event.
