Bellator 185: Mousasi vs. Shlemenko goes down later this evening live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. In the main event, middleweight standout Gegard Mousasi, Bellator’s latest free agent acquisition, makes his promotional debut. Opposite him in the cage will be former Bellator 185 pound champ Alexander Shlemenko. Both fighters come into the night off impressive win streaks, but Mousasi’s seems a cut above, with victories over the likes of Vitor Belfort, Uriah Hall, and Chris Weidman.
Also on the card, the sophomore outing from boxing champ Heather Hardy, who will look to continue her run at flyweight. Hardy has become an overnight sensation in MMA, and even saw a past opponent from the boxing world (Shelly Vincent, who Hardy bested last year) cause a scene at yesterday’s weigh-ins.
