Bellator 182 took place Friday, August 25 live from the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. With a main event of former welterweight champion Andrey Koreshkov taking on Chidi Njokuani, and the co-main fight boasting Irish Brennan Ward vs. Fernando Gonzalez, it was a night filled with the promise of action that didn’t disappoint.
In the main event, a crushing spinning back fist set up the eventual end for Njokuani, as Koreshkov stormed back into title contention with a heavy-handed finish. Fernano Gonzalez, meanwhile, made a great come-from-behind win thanks to his tight guillotine choke of Brennan Ward in the third round of their co-main event battle.
Elsewhere on the card, Bruna Ellen took a close split decision over Veta Aretaga, and A.J. McKee walked away victorious over Blair Tugman.
