A virus has stricken one UFC Winnipeg bout from the Fight Night card on the day before weigh-ins.

Mitch Raposo had been set to face Allan Nascimento at the event this Saturday, April 18 at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in flyweight action.

However, illness (reported by MMA Junkie’s Nolan King to be a virus contracted by Raposo) has forced the bout off the card. It’s now being targeted for a Fight Night event at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on June 20.

UFC officials released a brief statement confirming the development on Thursday.

“Due to illness with Mitch Raposo, his flyweight bout with Allan Nascimento has been moved to UFC FIGHT NIGHT on Saturday, June 20 at Meta APEX in Las Vegas.”

Raposo (10-3) was looking to build off his first victory under the UFC banner, against Azat Maksum last October. Nascimento (22-6) has won four straight since dropping his UFC debut in 2021, but has struggled with injuries and bouts falling through.

This Saturday’s UFC Winnipeg now moves forward with 12 fights and is headlined by Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott at welterweight. The following match-ups have been announced for the event:

Gilbert Burns vs. Mike Malott

Kyler Phillips vs. Charles Jourdain

Mandel Nallo vs. Jai Herbert

Jasmine Jasudavicius vs. Karine Silva

Thiago Moisés vs. Gauge Young

Dennis Buzukja vs. Márcio Barbosa

Julien Leblanc vs. Robert Valentin

Tanner Boser vs. Gökhan Saricam

Melissa Croden vs. Darya Zheleznyakova

JJ Aldrich vs. Jamey-Lyn Horth

Flyweight action has been added to April’s UFC Ottawa card, which sees the octagon return to the Canadian capital for the first time since 2019.

TUF 29 and Contender Series alum Mitch Raposo (10-3) will face off against Allan Nascimento (22-6) at the event, which takes place at the TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario on April 18, 2026.

Raposo recently announced the booking on social media (h/t Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff).

“9 weeks until I finish Allan. All the Glory to God. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. Ottawa Ontario, see you April 18th,” Raposo wrote in announcing the match-up.

Raposo, who came up short on The Ultimate Fighter 29 and had two showings on Dana White’s Contender Series, is 1-2 in the UFC and coming off a win over Azat Maksum last October. Prior to that, he’d been on the wrong side of split decisions against Su Mudaerji and Andre Lima.

Brazil’s Nascimento has had a much smoother UFC run in the cage, posting a 4-1 record through five fights. Staying healthy has been the flyweight’s biggest challenge, as he missed most of 2023 and all of 2024 with multiple fights falling through due to injury and illness.

Nascimento’s last outing saw him saw him earn a Performance of the Night bonus for his November submission of Cody Durden.

Usually, I would come here and tell you this Apex show was just like every other Apex show. Though, this time, I would be lying if I said it was. From a co-main event filled with eye-pokes and refereeing confusion to a potential James Krause-type betting controversy, UFC Vegas 110 was actually quite packed with storylines. However, none of them should overshadow Steve Garcia’s quick dispatching of David Onama in our main event. With the 110th Apex Fight Night card now in the books, let’s look at what’s next for Garcia and the rest of our main card winners.

Steve Garcia

Maybe it’s because he started off his UFC stint 1-2, but fans seem to have been too dismissive of Steve Garcia’s current win streak, which he extended to seven on Saturday. Ever since dropping to featherweight after his loss to Maheshate, Garcia has been on a tear, winning seven straights, six of which via KO. The streak features names like Chase Hooper, the also streaking Melquizael Costa, Calvin Kattar and now David Onama.

After his win, Garcia called out Josh Emmett in his post-fight presser. Though that’s not a bad name to call out at all, I prefer the option he laid out. After submitting the aforementioned Emmett in under two minutes, I had Youssef Zalal fighting the winner of this main event should Garcia be victorious in UFC 320’s edition of what’s next. And victorious he was, so why not see if Zalal can avenge his teammate Onama and stop the red-hot Garcia?

Garcia’s next fight: Youssef Zalal

Waldo Cortes-Acosta

It wasn’t the cleanest performance from referee Mark Smtih and we’ll see if Ante Delija can manage to get this result overturned with an appeal, but in the spirit of fairness, Waldo Cortes-Acosta didn’t do anything wrong on Saturday. We will treat this as a victory for the Dominican fighter as long as it is ruled as such.

Tom Aspinall will undoubtedly rematch Ciryl Gane and the winner will probably have to fight Alexander Volkov. But if the division can manage to move through all this relatively quickly, “Salsa Boy” might be just one more good win away from a title shot. Jailton Almeida, Derrick Lewis and Shamil Gaziev should he beat Serghei Spivac are all names I wouldn’t be against putting in there with WCA, but I ultimately landed on Curtis Blaydes as I think Cortes-Acosta should have his takedown defence tested once more before eyeing a title shot.

Cortes-Acosta’s next fight: Curtis Blaydes

Jeremiah Wells

It wasn’t the most thrilling affair, but Jeremiah Wells got his hand raised for the first time since April of 2023, outlasting Themba Gorimbo for a unanimous decision win. At 39 years of age, the best is almost certainly behind Wells, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some fun things to do with him. I think a fight with the guy who won just two fights prior could make for a fun scrap.

Wells’ next fight: Charles Radtke

Yadier del Valle

Potential betting scandal aside, this was Yadier del Valle’s second 1st-round rear-naked choke win in as many UFC bouts. With this win, the 29-year-old undefeated prospect took his perfect record to double digit. Being undefeated at featherweight means one thing and one thing only: will Christian Rodriguez take another 0? C-Rod’s last four wins came against then-undefeated Raul Rosas Jr., Cameron Saaiman, Isaac Dulgarian and Austin Bashi. Gimmick aside, there’s no doubt Rodriguez is someone who can test a guy like del Valle. The gimmick just adds a bit of spice to what might otherwise be a bout that would fly under the radar.

del Valle’s next fight: Christian Rodriguez

Charles Radtke

Charles Radtke was looking to bounce back after his brutal KO loss to Mike Malott in May. Though Daniel Frunza survived a bit longer than some of us might have expected, Radtke did eventually sink in the rear-naked choke. As mentioned, I think he and Jeremiah Wells would make for an entertaining matchup.

Radtke’s next fight: Jeremiah Wells

Allan Nascimento

Through inactivity, a weight miss and a bit of bad luck, Allan Nascimento’s last win at 125 lbs goes back to January of 2023. It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to gather more momentum because he could be an interesting player at flyweight. He’s now won four straights, two of which got him Performance of the Night bonuses, after taking Tagir Ulanbekov to a split decision in his promotional debut. The UFC rarely likes to reward inactivity, which is why I think they will most likely just end up rebooking the Rafael Estevam matchup, which isn’t a bad idea at all.

Nascimento’s next fight: Rafael Estevam

Still, UFC Vegas 110 produced a few memorable scraps, even if they weren’t always for the right reasons.

One of four Performance of the Night bonus-winners fell in that category. Ante Delija seemed to have Waldo Cortes-Acosta finished in the night’s heavyweight co-main event, lighting him up alongside the fence. However as replay showed and the ref caught real time, Cortes-Acosta had been poked in the eye right at the start of the deluge.

Despite Delija thinking he had won, Cortes-Acosta was given recovery time, opted to continue, and immediately knocked Delija out.

In the main event, headliner Steve Garcia took another Performance of the Night bonus for his TKO finish of David Onama. The featherweight fight was much-maligned as lacking the appropriate main event star power, and Onama’s name was on the marquee for the first time in his UFC tenue. The end came at 3:34 of round one.

Newcomer Donte Johnson, for a guillotine choke submission of Sedrique Dumas at middleweight, and flyweight Allan Nascimento, who put away Cody Durden with an Anaconda choke to open the UFC Vegas 110 main card, picked up the remaining bonuses.

No Fight of the Night was handed out Saturday; all four bonus winners take in $50,000 U.S. for their efforts.

A pair of flyweights in Allan Nascimento and Cody Durden faced off in a 130 pound catchweight bout at UFC Vegas 110, kicking off Saturday’s main card.

No weight miss in this instance, in a fight that found Durden looking to snap a two-fight skid, and Nascimento looking for his fourth straight victory, albeit dating back to 2022.

Durden started the opening frame looking to stand and trade with Nascimento. Landing multiple right hands to Nascimento’s face, Durden was jumping out to an early lead. Nascimento tried to keep Durden at distance with leg kicks, but Cody kept finding a home for hard shots upstairs. Nascimento had yet to attempt a takedown in the round and was repeatedly getting tee’d off on by massive combinations. After five minutes Durden had landed the more consequential blows. The large betting favorite Nascimento looked lost and unsure of himself on the feet in round one.

To start the second Durden landed a solid left-right combination upstairs that rocked Nascimento. A massive straight right hand by Durden got through the guard of Nascimento, who was bleeding from the nose. Durden continued to press the action , while Nascimento circled throwing jabs and leg kicks at distance. Suddenly, Durden marched forward right into massive elbow that knocked him to the ground. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt was all over him locking in the Anaconda choke submission on the ground.

Durden was seemingly winning every second of the fight until the elbow landed late in round two. Nascimento had lost a majority of the striking exchanges throughout the night on the feet, but he only needed to win one to get to a dominant position on the ground and finish the fight by submission. This was the 16th submission win in the career of Nascimento.

Official Result: Allan Nascimento def. Cody Durden by submission (Anaconda choke), Round 2, 3:13

Flyweights Allan Nascimento and Jafel Filho were the featured fight on a truncated preliminary card at UFC Vegas 107 on Saturday, with just four fights on the docket prior to the main card.

Nascimento was coming off a layoff of nearly two and a half years; he’d missed weight ahead of the fight. Filho meanwhile was entering off back-to-back wins over Daniel Barez and Ode Osbourne.

Early on, it was Filho looking for a trip along the fence, though Nascimento proved to have excellent balance and even briefly managed to reverse. That didn’t last however and after an impressive back-and-forth it was Filho getting the fight to the mat. Filho managed to trap Nascimento’s legs with his own, nearly sitting in mount, though he couldn’t hold the position. Instead, Nascimento managed to reclaim half-guard, and eventually, he’d make it back to the feet— with Jafel Filho still all over him.

In the dying seconds of the round, Filho would go after a mounted guillotine, but didn’t have it and ran out of time.

It was Nascimento getting some top time of his own in round two. Well away from the fence, the Contender Series and RIZIN vet had Filho stuck. Filho had tired, and was unable to break free. Nascimento would hunt a finish and close out the round with a smashing elbow, though he was unable to put the fight away.

Round three found Filho taking the momentum back early, getting things down and taking the back. The finish wasn’t to be had and eventually it was Nascimento getting back in the driver’s seat and taking the back himself. Towards the end of the frame, Nascimento had Filho stretched out and close to helpless, arm under the chin, but he ran out of time and instead took a unanimous decision win on the scorecards.

Official Result: Allan Nascimento def. Jafel Filho by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

It was a very rocky weigh-in day ahead of UFC Vegas 107, with Friday bringing about several misses at the scale, and a fight cancellation.

Of note, one half of the UFC Vegas 107 main event, Maycee Barber, came in heavy on Friday. She weighed in at 126.5lbs for her fight with Erin Blanchfield, a half-pound over the division’s non-title limit. That does not bode well for Barber, a title hopeful on a six-fight win streak.

Barber looked depleted on the scale, and she was not the only one.

🔵 @MayceeBarber takes to stage tomorrow night! #UFCVegas107 @Sportsnet & @TVASports | Main 9pmET pic.twitter.com/wtroBi19oZ

In addition to Barber coming in heavy, the entire fight between Ketlen Vieira and Macy Chiasson was shifted from bantamweight to 145lbs. Considering the UFC no longer has a women’s featherweight division after a half-hearted attempt to establish it during the Amanda Nunes era, they’re lucky the fight is on at all. UFC officials announced the change in weight immediately prior to Vieira weighing in. While Chiasson came in at 144, Viera needed the grace pound even up a weight class, clocking in at 146.

The pair were previously booked to compete in 2023, only for the fight to fall through. Chiasson previously competed as a featherweight, while Vieira missed weight for a bantamweight bout back in 2021.

The chaos didn’t stop there. Allan Nascimento blew the flyweight limit for his fight with Jafel Filho, coming in at 127.5. And one fight was cancelled entirely: Andreas Gustafsson, set to make his promotional debut against Trevin Giles, will have to wait a little longer. No weight mishap this time, instead an injury to Giles is reportedly the culprit.

Giles himself was stepping in on short notice as an injury replacement, after Jeremiah Wells was forced to withdraw from the match-up. Andreas Gustafsson was to have been the first fighter to wear the newly announced “UFC Debut” patch on his fight kit.

UFC Vegas 107: Blanchfield vs. Barber takes place Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, NV — Brazilian flyweight Allan Nascimento secured the first submission, and finish, of his UFC career on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 67.

The standing rear-naked choke of Carlos Hernandez was slick, and later earned the 31-year old one of four Performance of the Night bonuses handed out after the event.

“Puro Osso” was in good spirits following the victory, speaking to media outlets including Cageside Press.

“I’m so happy with the submission, my first submission with my black belt in jiu-jitsu,” said Nascimento (20-6), practically glowing following the bout. “I’m so happy with my second victory [in] the UFC. Let’s make the next step.”

As he announced in the cage following the victory, the Brazilian was awarded his black belt ahead of the fight with Hernandez. Nascimento spent two years as a brown belt, he stated following Saturday’s win, “but the purple belt, a long time, like seven years. I don’t know why. But I’m so happy with the black belt.”

The fight appeared to be over when Hernandez made a key mistake by standing up with Nascimento on his back, allowing him to lock up the choke. That wasn’t necessarily happenstance, however.

“I trained a lot, this position in Brazil, and my partners had big trouble with me on the back,” noted Nascimento. “I just come here and make this happen. I would like to [do] more striking, but it’s an opportunity [in the] fight, and I got [him].”

While he missed the UFC 283 card in Rio by a week, Allan Nascimento added that he’d like to fight there next time.

“The UFC deserves this show in Rio de Janeiro. I would like to fight in Rio next time, I don’t know when. It’s a good card, very good fights. I stay there, next week. Let’s [see] two belts for Brazil.”

On the off chance the promotion offers a short-notice spot on the Rio card, however, Nascimento would be down for the one week turnaround — but up a weight class. “In bantamweight yes, in flyweight, I think no.”

Watch the full UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press scrum with Allan Nascimento above.

The UFC’s first event of 2023, UFC Vegas 67, was as chaotic outside the cage as it was inside it.

With multiple big fights breaking throughout the evening (Jones vs. Gane, Edwards vs. Usman 3, Gaethje vs. Fiziev), and a couple of heartfelt tributes (to Victoria Lee, the late ONE Championship fighter, and Stephan Bonnar, late UFC Hall of Famer), it was sometimes difficult to remember that there even was an event unfolding at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Dan Ige, and three others, helped bring clarity on that front, providing some stunning finishes on a night that reminded fight fan why the UFC is at the forefront of mixed martial arts.

After a three week lull with only one card of note (Bellator MMA vs. RIZIN), the UFC returned with a Fight Night event plagued by injury — but one that, for the bulk of the show, entertained. Ige, in the co-main event, was at the forefront of that, scoring a walk-off KO is his featherweight fight with Damon Jackson.

That earned him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus, allowing the Hawaiian to live up to his “50K” nickname.

Also on the bonus list — with no Fight of the Night, all four winners took home Performance of the Night awards — was flyweight Allan Nascimento, who picked up his first finish in the organization when he submitted Carlos Hernandez.

Umar Nurmagomedov, the bantamweight cousin of lightweight legend Khabib, looked very un-Khabib-like when he scored a clean knockout of Brazil’s Raoni Barcelos for another of the bonuses. That duo opened up the UFC Vegas 67 main card.

Roman Kopylov, shortly after the Nurmagomedov fight, put away Punahele Soriano for his own Performance of the Night bonus. That win bodes well for the Russian, who fought out his contract at the event and has now won two straight.
