Announced during Saturday’s UFC Vegas 120 card, which went down inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, the promotion will return to Salt Lake City, Utah for UFC 332. The event is set to take place at the Delta Center on October 3, 2026.

No fights have been officially announced for the event, which marks the fifth time the promotion has visited Salt Lake.

After making their debut in the Utah capital with a Fight Night event in 2016, the UFC returned in 2022, 2023, and 2024, each time for a numbered event including marquee headliners. UFC 307, their last trip to Utah, was capped off by Alex Pereira defending his belt opposite Khalil Rountree Jr.; prior to that, Justin Gaethje faced Dustin Poirier for the second time in the main event of UFC 291.

While no fights have been announced by the promotion for UFC 332, Johnny Walker is expected to make his heavyweight debut on the card. After a fight with Ante Delija fell through at UFC Belgrade earlier this month, Walker is now lined up to face English big man Mick Parkin.

Journalist Laerte Viana first reported news of the booking. UFC 332 is one of two numbered events for the promotion in the month of October, with UFC 333 taking place on October 24 in Abu Dhabi.

Rosas (8-1), who was to face Miles Johns (15-5, 1NC) at the event, was pulled from the bout due to a cut after the UFC’s physician ruled him ineligible to compete. Brother Raul revealed the reasoning for the bout’s cancellation on social media late Thursday night, roughly 12 hours prior to weigh-ins.

“UFC doctor pulled my brother out of his fight,” wrote Rosas, “due to a glove scratch in his forehead as he believes it’s an infection. We did what we could, got approval from two doctors everything was okay, but the UFC doctor made the call. There’s nothing we can do, my brother was ready. Things happen for a reason. God’s plan. His time will come.”

Luckily for Johns, he’ll be staying on the card. He’ll instead face Gianni Vazquez (14-5-1), who steps in on all of two day’s notice, with the fight shifting to featherweight as a result.

Vazquez is 0-1 in the UFC after losing a fight against Javid Basharat earlier this year. After missing weight for that bout, he was released by the promotion, and picked up a win for Combate Global this May. He was to have competed for LFA later this month.

McGregor went down in the opening moments of his rematch with Max Holloway, appearing to blow out his knee off a jumping kick. It was the second ACL injury for McGregor (who injured the opposite leg during his first fight with Holloway), and the second straight major setback for the Irish star, who broke his leg in his third fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021.

On Friday, McGregor posted a video to social media with the caption reading in part “Knee repaired. The doubters can keep talking. I didn’t run from the pain. I walked straight into it.”

The caption added that “comeback season starts now,” while McGregor addressed fans in the video itself.

“‘The Mac’ is back, baby. My knee is repaired, surgery was a success and now I’m on the road to recovery. That should tell you all you need to know about my mindset,” he stated. “Straight into surgery, knee repaired, and on the road. Let’s go.”

“I want to give a shout out to Dominick Cruz, who returned from multiple ACLs to recapture his bantamweight crown. Georges St-Pierre, multiple ACLs. I don’t know whether he returned after his second ACL, however he’s doing backflips and his movement is still stellar. Other notables in other sports, NFL, Tom Brady’s done it. Aaron Peters [Rodgers] done it. These are my motivation here, especially the fighting boys. Your crews.”

“Unstoppable, baby. My mindset is unstoppable, unbreakable,” McGregor added, before promising to do something about his hair.

McGregor and the UFC are reportedly targeting a summer 2027 return for the sport’s biggest star, if all goes according to plan. The former featherweight and lightweight champ has just one fight left on his current contract.

Gamrot, a former KSW champ, is a known quantity at this point and has slowly worked his way to contendership. Salkilld in comparison has had a quick rise up the division, and remains undefeated in the promotion. He’s done so at a key time: Justin Gaethje holds the belt at 155lbs, but likely isn’t far from retirement. Dustin Poirier is retired, as is Khabib Nurmagomedov, and his heir of sorts, Islam Makhachev, vacated the lightweight title to move to welterweight last year.

It’s an opportune time for both men to earn a key win, in other words. While Arman Tsarukyan fights Mauricio Ruffy next month, ostensibly for a title shot, anything could happen.

Quarantillo (18-7) hasn’t fought since a December 2024 loss to Cub Swanson, meaning he’s been out of action over a year and a half. For a fighter known to stay active, it wasn’t easy.

“It was a weird thing. It’s very strange, taking so much time off, this is obviously my main job, my career,” stated “Billy Q” during this week’s UFC Vegas 120 media day. Luckily, Quarantillo also runs his own gym, and had plenty of fight camps to assist with. Still, he added, “it’s exciting to finally have my own training camp and my own Fight Week underway.”

The decision to move up in weight came after Quarantillo found himself “puking the night before, pretty much all night” ahead of his bout with Youssef Zalal. “And then the Cub Swanson fight, the last fight that I had, I made the weight, and it was a long process of making the weight. And then I never felt normal again. Even heading over to the venue I still felt like I was drained, I still felt like I was sucked out.”

“The decision had to be made. I was like, I can’t just keep doing this to my body. Fighting is brutal enough, and to keep torturing myself making the weight, I’d rather go in there and have a slight size disadvantage than just to kill myself before the fight.

That said, Quarantillo added, “I’m still cutting weight. Don’t let that fool you, it’s still going to be a bit of a weight cut. But it’s just been good. I’ve got a little bit extra meat on my bones.”

Quarantillo squares off against Brazil’s Carlos Diego Ferreira this Saturday. “It’s a fun match-up,” stated the American, calling it an “exciting fight.”

“I was worried that they were going to give me someone that, I didn’t know who they were. I’m familiar with Diego’s game. Especially now, the last few weeks we’ve been watching him. We both fought Alexander Hernandez, we both fought Kyle Nelson. He’s been around a long time, I’ve been around a long time. We’re the co-main event. I think the fans know, I think the UFC knows it’s going to be just an absolute barn-burner, it’s going to be a great fight. I’m looking to go out there and deliver.”

On Saturday night at UFC Vegas 120, “The Damage” will make that walk one final time when he faces Yaider Del Valle, bringing the curtain down on a UFC career that spanned nearly two decades and made him one of the promotion’s toughest and most respected fighters

“I’m older in age now, but mostly I’m starting to get hurt a little bit more often. Getting to train all the time is taking more of a toll on my body than used to,” Elkins told reporters on Wednesday.

“So it’s time. I’ve been contemplating it for a while. I just talked to my family, worked it all out.”

Elkins has thought about this moment for a long time, and if he’s going to walk away from the sport, he wants to do it on his own terms. For the 42-year-old, there isn’t a better way to close out his career than leaving his gloves in the octagon after one final fight.

“I’ve always wanted to lay my gloves in the octagon. Do it where most people don’t get that chance, right? They either get cut or they have to say it on social media,” he said.

“I wanted to be in the moment, lay my gloves down, and ride off into the sunset.”

Although retirement marks the end of an incredible UFC career, Elkins admitted the decision came easier than many might expect. After spending two decades competing at the highest level, mostly in wars inside the cage, the veteran says he’s leaving the sport on his own terms with no regrets.

“It wasn’t that tough. Stuck around longer than I thought. Listen, if you ever told 22-year-old Darren who just started fighting that you’d be doing this when you’re 42-years-old, I would have laughed at you,” said Elkins.

“But here I am, blessed to be still doing something I love to do.”

Ahead of his final fight, Elkins reflected on a career that exceeded every expectation. Looking back, “The Damage” takes pride in his longevity and the entertaining fights that defined his UFC career.

“It’s been fun. I mean, there’s been some downs, there’s been some ups. But dang I never thought I’d be doing this for a living for this long,” Elkins said.

“It was cool to just see the evolution of the game and be a part of the evolution. I can be proud about it. I knew how to put on entertaining fights and keep evolving.”

Still, “The Cuban Problem” knows he’ll be sharing the Octagon with one of the toughest veterans in UFC history when he faces Darren Elkins at UFC Vegas 120 on Saturday. He expects a war with Elkins who will be taking part in the final fight of his pro MMA career.

“To tell you the truth, I’m excited for the opportunity to fight Darren Elkins who is a legend in the sport,” del Valle told reporters on Wednesday.

“It’s an honor for me to share the octagon. with him in his last fight. I’m very happy to be given this opportunity.”

Del Valle respects everything Elkins has accomplished, recognizing the veteran’s grit, toughness, and reputation for turning every fight into a dogfight. Del Valle welcomes it and believes fans are in for a wild fight.

“He goes into the cage and gives his all. He’s very aggressive and likes to put on a show. He’s never in boring fights, and we’re ready for that. We’re here to keep pace in the fight, impose our game plan, and go to war for the fans,” he said.

Del Valle isn’t dwelling on the lone loss of his professional career. Instead, he believes the setback made him a better fighter. Now, he says the lessons he learned have him better prepared than ever for the biggest opportunity of his career.

“Defeats are good because it helps us get better. I had a good camp for this fight,” he said.

“I believe I’ve made the necessary adjustments to fight my mistakes from the last fight and emerge victorious this time.”

Del Valle promised fans they won’t have to wait long for the action to begin when he meets Elkins. The Cuban expects a war and plans to take control from the start.

“You’re going to see an aggressive fighter who will enter the cage, find the middle of the octagon, impose my will,” he said.

“It’s kill or be killed.”

The veteran lightweight knows exactly why he’s in Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 120 main event. Every rising contender wants the number next to his name. Gamrot has no problem welcoming the challenge and believes Salkilld’s aggressive style is perfect for him to remind everyone why he’s still one of the toughest outs in the division.

“I have nice number in the ranking, everybody want to take my number. I understand this position,” Gamrot told reporters on Wednesday.

“But ok, I invite you to the cage, and let’s fight. I am happy fight against Quillan because his style is perfect for me.”

While Salkilld has generated plenty of buzz as one of the lightweight division’s rising prospects, Gamrot isn’t buying into the hype. The veteran acknowledged the Australian’s physical tools but made it clear he’s confident in his own experience and well-rounded skill set.

“Yeah he’s dangerous kid. He’s tall, young. He looks strong. Heavy kick style. I need to be careful in the feet. There’s going to be a lot of scramble, non-stop action, and I love when people try take me down and fight with me in the ground,” he said.

“I can show much different skills and technique. It’s a lot of hype around him, but to be honest I don’t care. I know what I bring to the table and I am ready to (go to) war.”

A victory over Salkilld would put Gamrot back in the conversation for another big lightweight matchup. That being said, the former KSW champion isn’t looking past Saturday night, insisting his focus remains solely on the task in front of him.

“I put 100% focus to my next fight. I don’t like think so much what will be next. Lot of great names in the lightweight division,” Gamrot said.

“But bro, I can fight with everybody. No problem with this. My goal never change. I always looking forward to get to the goal. I will fight with everybody.”

While his performances speak for themselves and there has never been a question if he belonged, a run to the UFC – never mind one this long – was never something he imagined. 

“It was never my intention. That’s what I say sometimes, it is all God’s plan because I never thought about fighting UFC. I thought I like World Series [of Fighting] or Bellator – those were the doors I was kind of looking to go through,” Ferreira explained. “But I never thought about fighting in the UFC.”

Part of the reason he didn’t really consider fighting at the top oif the game was because he never thought MMA was going to be his occupation. While he wanted to dabble in it, he saw a different way of life for himself. 

“I never thought I was going to have mixed martial arts as a job. For me, my work was going to be, ‘oh, I gotta be just another Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach – open a gym, be comfortable in this,” he said. “But looking back, it was a great experience and I never thought about it – 12 years in the UFC.”

Now, with plenty of experience under his belt, he’s not ready to pack it up. In fact, he’s feeling better than ever going into a bout with Billy Quarantillo this weekend. And that’s a bout, he believes, could win him another bonus. 

“He likes to throw down and I’m gonna be meeting him out there. So whatever is coming first, coming first. I want to put on Fight of the Night,” Ferreira said. “I know my last fight, it could have gone my way. I was there and I know he’s going to be the same way, thinking the same way. And so both, we’re going to have the same mentality. So I think we’ve got to meet in the middle and throw down – whoever is going to go down first.”

The added duties that come with main event billing, including media obligations, are something Salkilled (12-1) has found a silver lining in.

“I like it. I just like staying busy. Especially in Fight Week, I just want to get to weigh-ins as fast as possible,” Salkilled stated during Wednesday’s UFC Vegas 120 media day. “Having busy days with a big schedule helps the day go quicker.”

Salkilled seems to be taking it all in stride, and that comes down to who he is. “I think it’s my natural personality to take things easy, not stress out. Maybe it’s the Aussie way of thinking, to kind of be unserious in serious situations,” he suggested. “I think it’s just something I do, I’m good at ignoring all the high pressure things and I’m good at just going in there and doing my thing.”

Quillan Salkilled actually called out opponent Mateusz Gamrot previously, after his win over Beneil Dariush, making the UFC Vegas 120 headliner a case of fighters directing their career. It was all made from a place of respect, he explained.

“I’ve been watching him fight for a long time. He’s someone I’ve always respected, I’ve been wanting to fight him for ages. Always someone I’ve envisioned fighting, ever since coming up through the pro ranks. He’s always someone I’ve pictured I’m fighting, and a fun test to go up against. That’s exactly why I called him out.”

The timing was right as well, added Salkilled, and Gamrot was coming off a win. “At the time, it just made sense to me as well. He’s tough; I’m not going to call out anyone I think is going to be easy. That would make me a p*ssy. I want to call out the hard fights.”
