Paulo Costa believes Khamzat Chimaev is selectively pursuing fights with smaller opponents so he can “bully” them. Ciryl Gane is out until some time in 2023 after breaking his hand hitting Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris. It’s your Sunday MMA Quick Hits — let’s go!

Jack Shore Suffers “Serious” Knee Injury

Welsh bantamweight Jack Shore has been forced out of his fight with Kyler Phillips due to a knee injury. The bout was to take place on November 19; the promotion is expected to seek a replacement for Shore.

Shore himself broke the news on his Instagram story this past week.

“Unfortunately I am out of my upcoming fight due to a serious knee injury,” Shore wrote. “Gonna be sidelined for likely the rest of the year as this one is gonna take a bit of time to get right!”

Disclosed UFC 278 Salaries Are Depressing

The new UFC welterweight champion made just $350,000 (discounting any PPV points), multiple fighters made just $10,000, and some big names were grossly underpaid at UFC 278.

It’s 2022. No one in the UFC should be making $10,000 to show, $10,000 to win. No one. No excuses. You might as well go flip burgers at that point.

MMA Fighting acquired the disclosed purses from the August PPV event via a FOIA request.

Some lowlights: Harry Hunsucker, in his third UFC fight, was paid $12,000 to appear on a PPV main card.

Paulo Costa, a former title challenger, made just $65,000 to show, $65,000 to win. He’s a main event level fighter, or in this case, co-main event.

A.J. Fletcher and Daniel Lacerda made just $10,000 each. When you deduct manager’s fees, gym costs, taxes, and miscellaneous expenses, they’re left with a bag of chips and a can of coke under today’s inflation. Victor Altamirano, who won on the Contender Series, also was on a 10/10 deal, but he at least won his fight.

Here’s a wild concept: no one in the UFC should be making less than $20,000 per fight. This event made over $4.2 million dollars at the gate alone, more than double athlete salaries. On top of that, the UFC rakes in PPV dollars and sponsorship money. It actually feels pretty gross seeing these numbers with that in mind.

Main Card

Leon Edwards ($350,000 + no win bonus = $350,000) def. Kamaru Usman ($500,000)
Paulo Costa ($65,000 + $65,000 win bonus = $130,000) def. Luke Rockhold ($200,000)
Merab Dvalishvili ($99,000 + $99,000 win bonus = $198,000) def. Jose Aldo ($400,000)
Lucie Pudilova ($23,000 + $23,000 win bonus = $46,000) def. Wu Yanan ($20,000)
Tyson Pedro ($43,000 + $43,000 win bonus = $86,000) def. Harry Hunsucker ($12,000)

Preliminary Card

Marcin Tybura ($120,000 + $120,000 win bonus = $240,000) def. Alexandr Romanov ($36,000)
Jared Gordon ($47,000 + $47,000 win bonus = $94,000) def. Leonardo Santos ($44,000)
Sean Woodson ($24,000) vs. Luis Saldana ($14,000)
Ange Loosa ($12,000 + $12,000 win bonus = $24,000) def. A.J. Fletcher ($10,000)

Early Preliminaries

Amir Albazi ($16,000 + $16,000 win bonus = $32,000) def. Francisco Figueiredo ($14,000)
Aoriqileng ($12,000 + $12,000 win bonus = $24,000) def. Jay Perrin ($12,000)
Victor Altamirano ($10,000 + $10,000 win bonus = $20,000) def. Daniel Lacerda ($10,000)

Paulo Costa Says Khamzat Chimaev Fights Smaller Opponents So He Can Bully Them

UFC middleweight Paulo Costa got into it with Khamzat Chimaev at the UFC Performance Institute this week — and he’s not about to stay quiet when it comes to “Borz.”

Speaking to The Mac Life, Costa accused Chimaev of targeting smaller opponents.

“I know you just want to fight small guys, short guys, shy guys like Burns,” Costa told the website. “Guys who you can beat and be a bully, but I’m not. I’m a big one, I’m the biggest middleweight in the UFC so you cannot bully me. When you show up, I will be here, ready for you because you are a ‘Gourmet Chechen,’ you are a fake gangster so that’s it.

“I know this guy don’t want this fight. He will try and fight somebody else who has no grappling, no jiu-jitsu, no wrestling. I have nothing more to say about that guy. I’m fresh, I can fight him with just one hand because it’s broken, but I don’t care man.”

Death of Queen Elizabeth II Postpones Shields Boxing Match

Boxing champ Claressa Shields, who also competes in MMA under the PFL banner, has seen her bout with Savannah Marshall postponed due to death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen, 96, passed away Thursday, and the entire United Kingdom has entered an official mourning period.

Elizabeth served as Queen for over 70 years, ascending to the throne at just 25. Shields vs. Marshall now has a new provisional date of October 15, per a report by ESPN.

“Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II was an iconic and unrivaled leader for our nation and an inspiration for women all over the world,” British promoter Ben Shalom of Boxxer said in a statement. “Her leadership and her strength of character showed that there were no limits to what women can accomplish.”

Ciryl Gane Out Until 2023

Tai Tuivasa apparently has a very hard head.

French heavyweight Ciryl Gane, who knocked Tuivasa out in the third round of the pair’s UFC Paris main event just over a week ago, will be out until 2023 with a broken hand. Gane injured the appendage during the bout.

On the plus side, “Bon Gamin” says he’ll use the time off to heal up some other injuries as well.

So I'll be out of action for a few months guys, to heal my hand that broke during the fight with Tai. I will use that time to heal some other injuries as well and come back stronger than ever in 2023 💪🏽

I'm coming back for that belt, and I'm not going ANYWHERE 👑 pic.twitter.com/V1VvLZtBVk

UFC 278 was a thrilling event full of finishes, wars, and unexpected drama. Closing out the card, most notably, was a Hail-Mary head kick from Leon Edwards that finished dominant champion Kamaru Usman in their rematch for the welterweight belt. Luke Rockhold hung up the gloves after falling short but pushing Paulo Costa to his limit and a legend’s last push for the bantamweight belt fell just short. Who should the winners of these and the other main card fights face next?

Leon Edwards

On the surface it seems that the obvious next fight for the second British champion in UFC history would be the rubber match for all the marbles against Kamaru Usman, but it may not be that simple. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ just brutally suffered his first knockout loss, is thirty-five years of age, and has discussed at length the severe knee issues he has. Will the champ want to come back soon enough for his timeline to line up with that of the new champ, who says he wants to fight in early 2022? Could he even potentially retire?

In three weeks’ time, Khamzat Chimaev fights Nate Diaz in a non-title fight PPV main event. Khamzat is maybe the hottest prospect in the UFC at the moment and if Usman is to sit out for any extended duration then a win against Nate would almost guarantee him the coveted title shot. It is borderline impossible, however, to pick anyone else other than Kamaru Usman to get the next title shot. A trilogy bout with both men having won one of the previous fights is a scenario that time and time again has generated the highest stakes of all in combat sports. Still, life makes no guarantees and combat makes even fewer.

Edward’s Next Fight: Trilogy Bout vs Kamaru Usman

Paulo Costa

Paulo Costa got back in the win column against middleweight legend Luke Rockhold on Saturday. The Fight of the Night performance puts him back into contention for another run at the belt and so it is surely time for him to once again fight a top ten ranked contender. Many big fights are upcoming at 185-lbs, from Whittaker versus Vettori, to the title fight of Adesanya versus Pereira, to the recently announced October main event that is Sean Strickland versus Jared Cannonier. Both of those last two are coming off of losses and hust like Paulo Costa will be looking to reestablish their push towards the belt, making the winner of that fight the perfect choice to face ‘Borrachina’ in the near future.

Either bout has intrigue. Cannonier and Costa are two of the hardest hitters in the division and the fight could end at any time if the two were to meet. Fans, however, also love exciting verbal rivalries. Both Costa and Strickland have made names for themselves as athletes who have no filter and are entertaining both on the mic and on social media. A press conference featuring the two would surely generate a lot of interest, to say the least, like the heated simultaneous video interview Costa and Marvin Vettori did last year just before their bout.

Costa’s Next Fight: Winner of Canonnier vs Strickland

Merab Dvalishvili

Merab Dvalishvili’s win over legend Jose Aldo extended the Georgian wrestler’s winning streak to eight, but likely did little to advance his cause for a title shot given Dana White’s somewhat disparaging post-fight comments. It may not matter though as he has discussed going down to flyweight so as to avoid fighting his close friend, champion Aljamain Sterling, though that decision may depend on the result of the upcoming Sterling vs Dillashaw title fight. For now we will, however, operate under the assumption that Merab will not undertake that gruelling weight cut and will remain at the division he has always competed in.

With that in mind there are quite a few upcoming bouts that will affect the booking of this fight. In the near future Petr Yan will fight Sean O’Malley and Cory Sandhagen squares off against Song Yadong for a fight night main event. If O’Malley wins against Yan the UFC will likely push him into a title shot but if Yan wins then a bout against Dvalishvili could make sense. However the winner of Sandhagen vs Yadong makes sense as an opponent no matter who wins and would be an interesting style clash at between wrestler and striker.

Dvalishvili’s Next Opponent: Winner of Sandhagen vs Yadong

Lucie Pudilova

Lucie Pudilova spent some time outside of the UFC after her first stint ended with a four fight losing streak to top flight opposition. Still, many fans with good memories will remember her for almost beating Alexa Grasso in an absolute war back in 2018. Her return in a big spot on the UFC 278 main card was one to remember for the Czech fighter as she dominated Wu Yanan before getting the finish with brutal ground and pound in the second round. She must still start from the lower end of the division and work her way up. Given that, Poliana Botelho is a logical fight for her as the Brazilian looks to turn her luck around and Pudilova looks to continue her forward momentum.

Pudilova’s Next Fight: Poliana Botelho

Tyson Pedro

The Samoan-Australian light-heavyweight Tyson Pedro continued his comeback tour with a lightning-fast stoppage win over Harry Hunsucker due to punches followed by a vicious teep to the liver. After four years out due to serious injury it is good to see the exciting prospect get his momentum back. Now is the time for a step up in competition and towards the rankings against a foe like the former PFL HW champion Philipe Lins. Lins recently stepped into the waters at LHW seeking to change things up after a rocky 0-2 start in the UFC’s heaviest division. In April of this year he was able to get his first win in the promotion against Marcin Prachnio. Both Pedro and Lins have well-rounded skill sets, finishing ability, and top-15 potential. This match-up could be considered a ‘ranked fight eliminator’ with the winner getting a lower end ranked opponent.

Pedro’s Next Fight: Philipe Lins

Leon Edwards won UFC welterweight gold at UFC 278 with a fifth-round knockout over Kamaru Usman. This, for once without hyperbole, shocked the world as Usman was winning three rounds to one heading into the fifth frame. Paulo Costa won a unanimous decision over Luke Rockhold in the co-main event. After which, Rockhold seemed to be leaning towards retirement. Today we will be looking into what is next for the losers of UFC 278.

Kamaru Usman

Kamaru Usman was ranked first on the UFC’s pound-for-pound list heading into his sixth title defense this past weekend. A loss to Edwards knocks him down the ladder a bit. Although his notoriety as one of the best in the world probably warrants him an immediate rematch. Especially because he was winning the majority of the fight. During his time as champion, he gave both Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal rematches so it is realistic to think the UFC will give him a trilogy against Edwards in his next fight.

Usman’s next fight: Trilogy fight with Leon Edwards

Luke Rockhold

After a Fight of the Night effort, and an infamous scene of rubbing his own blood into Paulo Costa’s face, Luke Rockhold announced his retirement at UFC 278.

Rockhold’s next fight: None

Jose Aldo

Jose Aldo lost a unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili this past weekend making him 3-3 since moving to the bantamweight division. Even with father time working against him, Aldo seems to look fresher than ever and ready to make a splash in the division. He just seemed to struggle with the grappling-heavy offense of Dvalishvili. In his next fight, Aldo should be looking to fight someone in the top ten to stay relevant.

Dominick Cruz is coming off a TKO loss to Marlon Vera just a few weeks ago and while he did look good in that fight, he ultimately came up short. A fight between Cruz and Aldo would be a great showcase between two legends of the sport trying to prove they still have what it takes to compete with the best.

Aldo’s next fight: Dominick Cruz

Wu Yanan and Harry Hunsucker

Wu Yanan got finished in the second round by Lucia Pudilova at UFC 278. This loss puts Yanan on a four-fight losing streak. Hunsucker on the other hand is 0-3 since joining the UFC and just got finished in the first round by Tyson Pedro. So it is very likely the UFC decides to part ways with both fighters. If not, an up-and-coming fighter should be next for both.

Alexander Romanov

Alexander Romanov lost a controversial decision to Marcin Tybura this past weekend. In the first round, Romanov out stuck Tybura 30-0 in the significant strikes category. He also had four minutes and 27 seconds of control time against Tybura’s zero seconds of control time. Romanov got tired and ultimately lost round two and three but two of the judges did not award him a 10-8 round for the first round which led to him losing a majority decision. That loss marks the first of Romanov’s career. In his next fight, Romanov should be looking to fight someone in the top 15 so he can stay ranked and keep climbing the heavyweight rankings.

Blagoy Ivanov is 3-3 in the UFC and is currently ranked 15th in the division. He is coming off a decision win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima in his last fight back in May. Ivanov has great boxing which contradicts Romanov’s grappling-heavy fighting style. A win over Ivanov would keep Romanov in the top 15 and set him up for another big fight down the road.

Romanov’s next fight: Blagoy Ivanov

Salt Lake City, UT – UFC lightweight Jared Gordon came into UFC 278 wanting to get back into the winning column and he did so by defeating Leonardo Santos on Saturday night.

Gordon (19-5) overcame a height and reach disadvantage by attacking the body of Santos.

“Yeah I mean…he’s like 6 foot 5, I’m like 5 foot 4. Hard to reach his face. His body’s like right there I’m like looking at his belly button,” Gordon told Cageside Press among other media at his post-fight scrum.

Santos has fought many big names in both MMA and Jiu Jitsu competition. Gordon took tally of that.

“By MMA math, I mean he arm barred Georges St. Pierre in ADCC. So I have a win over Georges St. Pierre now. Which means I have a win over like all the welterweight GOATS,” he said with a laugh.

“The guy’s got wins over some really good guys in the UFC. He was on a 7-fight winning streak I believe in the UFC. Obviously he’s gotten older, he’s on a losing streak. I think his fight against Grant Dawson he was beating him until he got knocked out literally in the last second.”

The win over Santos gives Gordon wins in 4 of his last 5 bouts and sets him up for a big fight next.

“But a big win over a veteran and back in the win column. 4 out of 5 fights I won so I think I’m doing alright right now,” Gordon said.

Next up for Gordon, he hopes, is Paddy Pimblett who is a clear star and up-and-comer in the lightweight division. Any show Pimblett fights in ends up being huge for him and the UFC.

“I mean he called me out after his last fight I think on whatever with Karyn Bryant. We’ve been calling each other out for like 3 years. Nothing malicious I really like him actually. I think he’s funny I think he’s great for the sport. He’s a character and I think he’s preaching a good message. And I think between the two of us, specially him with like his million followers, we can raise a lot of awareness for mental health,” said Gordon.

After his last fight Pimblett used his post-fight interview to raise mental health awareness after a close friend of his took his life. Gordon said that together they can do even bigger things with Pimblett’s message of mental health and Gordon’s recovery from drug addiction.

Now as for where he would like to fight next Gordon had one place in mind. Madison Square Garden in New York.

“Man I’m dying to fight there. I trained at Renzo’s (Gracie) for like 9 years. I used to walk past Madison Square Garden every day. I used to shoot dope in the bathroom right next to Madison Square Garden consistently,” he said.

“That’s my city.”

Salt Lake City, UT — Bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili has led the charge for Georgian MMA, and as a Georgian, he’s very familiar with Russian aggression. In 2008, Russia invaded his homeland, and that prompted Dvalishvili to speak out about the invasion of Ukraine on Saturday, following the biggest win of his career at UFC 278.

Having bested Jose Aldo, and sporting his traditional Papakha (a headdress worn in the Caucasus region of Europe), Dvalishvili’s style was compared to that of Russia’s Khabib Nurmagomedov. But, as he pointed out, the former champ is a Dagestani-Russian, quite different from Georgia, who have applied to join the European Union.

On the war, which has dragged on since February, Davlishvili said Saturday that “I want to say loud, hopefully we can stop this war. This is crazy, this is insane. The people are dying every day, and I cannot do nothing, nobody can do nothing. Whole world is doing sanctions, but I don’t know how you can stop this. Because people are there, normal people, and they are dying.”

Such matters may dwarf fighting, but Dvalishvili also picked up a key win Saturday over a living legend. “I don’t know what to say, man. I’m happy of course,” he told media outlets including Cageside Press following the fight. “This is my tenth fight in the UFC, and I feel like I don’t lose even the first two fights, too. But every victory is huge in the UFC, and then of course Jose Aldo, it’s big.”

At the same time, it didn’t seem as if “The Machine” was all that satisfied with his performance. “Yes and no. Yeah of course I want a more exciting fight, and I want to take him down. But he was good in footwork, it was hard to time him to take him down. And against the cage he was good, he was defending my takedowns good. And also I don’t spend too much energy, because I want to be ready for striking.”

In the end, Dvalishvili added that “It’s his job to move and do something, because I was winning [the] fight.”

Despite the enormity of the match-up with a future Hall of Famer, nerves did not play a factor for the Georgian.

“Actually I was most calm, most relaxed. Everything was perfect. I was feeling good, like no nerves, nothing.” Dvalishvili has said before, and repeated it Saturday, that he wasn’t expecting to land the fight against the legend. “But once they give me it, this is just another fight. Every fight is big, especially in the UFC. I came here, and I fight everybody. I came and I did what I had to do. I fight, and I win.”

Salt Lake City, UT — At UFC 278, Polish heavyweight Marcin Tybura became the first man to defeat Moldovan up-and-comer Alexander Romanov.

Romanov, to be blunt, manhandled Tybura in the opening round, throwing the big man about like a sack of potatoes. But as Romanov tired in the later rounds, Tybura did not, allowing him to claim a majority decision win at the end of three rounds.

Despite the win, Tybura (23-7) doesn’t believe he’s derailed Romanov’s hype train, he told media outlets including Cageside Press following the fight. “His hype is still there, and I think he’s getting to the top. It’s like, I’m also getting to the top, so we just clashed a little bit sooner than we were supposed to. He’s still there.”

Tybura was satisfied with being able to endure a rough first round, and then come back in the second. Not that he had expected it. “It’s not something I’m planning. It’s really hard for me to give up, and that’s it. That’s why my cardio seems to be so good. I didn’t plan in this fight for me to have a guy on my back for the whole round.”

When the scores were being read, particularly with a 28-28 in play, Tybura admitted that he wasn’t certain he’d get the nod. “I wasn’t so sure. I’m never 100% sure when the fights end,” he stated. “I never argue about close fights, I’m supposed to win even though I lost. I’m rather the guy who goes there and tries to get the finish. So when the fights end, I was just patiently waiting for the decision.”

Altitude, which wreaked havoc on the UFC 278 card, didn’t appear to be a factor for Poland’s Tybura, thanks to some advance planning. “I actually came to the U.S. two weeks ago to adjust, we spent a lot of time in the mountains to prepare. Came here early, also did a coupe of trainings here, so I think I adjusted well enough for this altitude.”

As far as when he wants to fight again, the heavyweight added “As soon as possible I guess.”

Salt Lake City, UT – UFC flyweight Victor Altamirano made a massive statement when he finished Daniel da Silva as the opening bout of UFC 278 on Saturday night.

Needless to say he made an impression and kicked the card off with a bang.

“I gave myself the responsibility to give a good welcome to Salt Lake. I know it being the first UFC (PPV) I wanted to make sure that it opened well. That it opened great, that it opened with excitement,” Altamirano told Cageside Press among other media at his post-fight scrum.

“Even though no one told me to do it I told myself ‘You know what, this has to be a good fight.’ We have to make sure that Salt Lake City looks forward to the next UFC event. I hope that my contemporaries follow this.”

As Altamirano said that, bantamweights Aoriqileng and Jay Perrin were having an all out war in the octagon as the fights played in the media room.

“As we can see it seems like they’re doing it.”

That sounds like music to Dana White’s ears. Following the event White announced that Altamirano had won one of the performance bonuses.

This was the first fight in front of a large audience for Altamirano who fought twice at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

“I like them both (APEX and live audience shows). I like the intimacy that I share with my opponent when it’s at close quarters and I can hear their corners. I can hear them breathing. You know it’s a little more intimate. It’s a little more intense in a different way,” he said.

“But with a crowd here. You know the crowd just pressures you forward pushes you to just give it all. Any little movement they like they let you know that they like it and that’s really cool.”

What’s next for the show starter?

“I’ll fight soon whenever you guys (UFC) find a good card. As you can see I love making shows (exciting) so whenever you guys want a show to be exciting plug me in there with whoever you think I can do it,” Altamirano said.

He did add a little bit more to it.

“I’ll call out the champ. I’ll call out the champ every time because if that’s not what I’m doing, then what am I doing here?”

Then back to business.

Coming into the fight Pedro repeatedly said that Hunsucker is a “Kill or be killed” type of fighter and that he expected an action packed bout in Utah. Pedro did notice that Hunsucker had a sort of nervous energy to him through fight week.

“I just pictured….man, you have no idea how many times we practiced that backwards jab. I’m not a psychologist but I saw him yesterday pacing back-and-forward in the weigh-ins. Media was pretty rough on him,” Pedro told Cageside Press among other media at his post-fight scrum.

“I said I hate him, but he’s a very good dude. I met him a couple times and he’s a very nice guy. This is a very ruthless sport.”

For Hunsucker the fight was his third consecutive loss via knockout or TKO. In the UFC a three-fight losing streak normally means a fighter is on their way out of the promotion or very close to it.

“Who knows he might get cut after this one. That’s why there was a lot of nervous energy. So I said if I get the bonus I’ll give him 10k,” Pedro said.

“100%”

Unfortunately for both men Pedro did not get a performance bonus at UFC 278 but the sentiment was there from the victor.

So what’s next for Pedro? After missing out on almost 4 years of his career and feeling like he needs to make up for lost time Pedro mentioned one name he’d like to face before their time in the sport is done.

“I’ve said it a couple times but I’d love to get that 4 years back from Shogun (Rua). I don’t know if that’s early next year or where yet. I definitely want to get one more in before the end of the year and Shogun’s been on my mind for quite a while,” Pedro said.

“So I wouldn’t mind getting that one back under my belt.”

Salt Lake City, UT — Ange Loosa went through a three-round war with A.J. Fletcher at UFC 278, in a fight that saw Loosa nearly finished by his opponent.

In the end, however, Fletcher’s eagerness to finish the fight cost him, and allowed Loosa himself to get the upper hand.

“The thing is, he was trying to put me away so bad, he got so tired,” Loosa (9-3) told media outlets including Cageside Press following the fight. “Then I feel like he started quitting a little bit.”

Having secured his first UFC win, welterweight Loosa is hoping to fight again by the end of the year. “I want to get back as soon as possible. I want to stay active,” he stated. “We’ll see how I feel. I think the end of next week, I’ll be back in training, and we’ll see. But I really want to fight before the end of the year.”

It may not happen soon, but some day, Ange Loosa also hopes to fight at home. Though he now trains in the U.S., and previously Switzerland, he’d love to see the promotion head to Africa, and the Congo.

After all, the UFC has (or well, had prior to Kamaru Usman being knocked out by Leon Edwards) three African champions.

“It means a lot for me. I really hope one day we’re going to have a UFC Africa. It’s going to be big, huge,” said Loosa. “There’s a lot of things to do there. In my country, Congo, I know we have a lot of potential. In the future, I hope we can build something there too. It would be nice for the UFC to get there, because like you said, we have three African champs, so it’s huge. It’s big.”

Salt Lake City, UT — Women’s bantamwieght Lucie Pudilova returned to the octagon at UFC 278 on Saturday, fighting in the promotion for the first time since 2020.

In her time away, Pudilova posted a 5-1 record under the Oktagon MMA banner, and showed a vastly improved skill set in her fight against China’s Wu Yanan on Saturday. In the end, she earned her first UFC win in four years, care of a TKO finish brought about by some nasty elbows.

“I feel amazing. This fight was very hard,” Pudilov said following the bout, speaking to media outlets including Cageside Press. The bantamweight admitted to having a slow start, something she attributed to the pressure of her return. “I feel a little bit of pressure because I was back in the UFC. It’s amazing, and I really wanted to show the best from me. It was hard, yeah. Then I feel better after two, three minutes.”

During her time away, Pudilova was always driven to make it back to the big show. “Yeah, I always wanted to go back to the UFC,” she stated.

As for what comes next for the Czech fighter, there’ll be some celebration with her team, SBG Ireland. “Tonight I want to go with my team, we go for a party, and then we will be thinking about a fight.”
