The card is headlined by a heavyweight bout featuring Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.

Anders (13-4) is a former LFA middleweight champion who joined the UFC in 2017. The ex-football player showed plenty of promise early on, quickly getting a headlining spot against Lyoto Machida in just his third UFC outing. After losing that fight in a controversial split decision, Anders embarked on a 1-4 stretch, but has bounced back in his last two fights, getting the better of Vinicius Moreira and Gerald Meerschaert.

He’ll look to make it three wins in a row against Jotko (21-4), who like Anders will enter the contest on a two-fight win streak. In his last two performances, Jotko has earned wins against Alen Amedovski and Marc-Andre Barriault.

UFC Portland (UFC Fight Night 172) takes place April 11, 2020 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The card currently includes the following bouts:

Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris
Vicente Luque vs. Randy Brown
Carla Esparza vs. Michelle Waterson
Tristan Connelly vs. Alex da Silva
Don’Tale Mayes vs. Rodrigo Nascimento
Markus Perez vs. Alessio Di Chirico
Julia Avila vs. Karol Rosa
Niko Price vs. Muslim Salikhov
Krzysztof Jotko vs. Eryk Anders

Canada’s Marc-Andre Barriault will have another chance to display his power, as he takes on Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 240 in July.

Marc-Andre Barriault will fight at home once again in his sophomore outing for the UFC. On Friday, promotion officials announced that Barriault, a former two-division champion in Canada’s TKO, would face Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta. It will be a relatively quick turn around for ‘Power Bar,’ who made his promotional debut earlier this month at UFC Ottawa.

The 11-2 Barriault came up short in Ottawa against Ultimate Fighter winner Andrew Sanchez, losing a unanimous decision in his first test in the octagon. Barriault, however, remains a threat at middleweight, and held both 185 and 205lb gold in TKO. Prior to the Sanchez loss, the Canadian had won eight straight fights.

Poland’s Jotko (20–4), meanwhile, will look to build on a unanimous decision win over Alen Amedovski at UFC St. Petersburg in April. That victory snapped a three-fight losing streak for the middleweight, after losses to David Branch, Uriah Hall, and Brad Tavares. Jotko holds notable UFC wins over Thales Leites and Scott Askham. Overall, he’s 7-4 in the promotion.

UFC 240 takes place July 27 at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. Max Holloway defends his featherweight title against Frankie Edgar in the main event. In the co-main event of the evening, Cris Cyborg returns to take on former Invicta FC champ Felicia Spencer.

UFC 211 took place this evening at the American Airlines center in Dallas Texas. After being elevated to the main card, Krzysztof Jotko, the American Top Team product faced off with former WSOF two division champion David Branch in a three round contest.

Krzysztof Jotko has been on fire colleting wins in his last five fighs including a crushing KO victory of Tamdan McCrory. His latest victory came over a game Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night: Bader vs. Nogueira 2 in São Paulo, Brazil. The Polish prospect was looking to extend his streak with a win over the returning David Branch.

David Branch returned to the UFC after an extended run in the World Series of Fighting that saw him collect a perfect 10-0 record with wins over the likes of Yushin Okami and
Jesse Taylor. Branch walked away from the WSOF having captured and defended both the Light Heavyweight and Middleweight titles in his time there. He was looking to build on
that success in the UFC starting starting Saturday night when he stepped into the cage versus Krzysztof Jotko in Dallas at UFC 211.

Both fighters seemed a little tentative on this one. With few punches thrown and most of the action taking place against the cage or during the few take downs that transitioned things to the ground. Branch got the better of Jotko on his first take down early into the bout when he was able to work some ground and pound. Jotko was able work his way back to his feet by utilizing the cage and took Branch down, with Branch popping back to his feet quickly. The theme stayed the same throughout the fight with both fighters trading cage control and few strikes. Branch’s three take downs sealed the victory for him for the evening.

The final decision was (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) with Branch taking the split decision.
