										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oktagon 72 took place Saturday in Prague, Czech Republic with a massive main event featuring a couple of the promotion&#8217;s biggest names.</p>
<p>Karlos Vemola and Attila Vegh were set to close out their rivalry in a rubber match dating back to their first encounter in 2019. With their series tied 1-1, the third fight came with the &#8220;Infinity Belt&#8221; (a symbolic title not unlike the UFC&#8217;s &#8220;BMF&#8221; championship) on the line.</p>
<p>Former UFC standout <a href="https://cagesidepress.com/2023/07/23/makhmud-muradov-hopes-win-bryan-barberena-enough-new-ufc-contract/" data-wpel-link="internal">Makhmud Muradov</a> featured in the co-headliner, facing Patrick Kincl for an interim title at 185lbs.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Karlos Vemola and Attila Vegh will battle for light heavyweight supremacy in front of 28,000 fans in Prague at Oktagon 58 on Saturday.</p>
<p>After being knocked out by Vegh five years ago, Vemola will be looking for revenge against the former <a href="http://bellator.com" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Bellator MMA</a> light heavyweight champ. This time around, Vemola is holding gold, while Vegh has not competed since their first meeting in 2019, which ended just over two minutes into the opening round.</p>
<p>In the co-main event, former champ <a href="https://cagesidepress.com/2022/11/25/oktagon-mma-champ-david-kozma-shot-first-day/" data-wpel-link="internal">David Kozma</a> faces Ion Surdu with the chance to compete for the now-vacant 170lb title on the line, while earlier in the night, David Zawada, a UFC and PFL veteran, looks to make a case for his own title shot at 185lbs.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oktagon MMA was in action on Saturday, May 20, 2023 with Oktagon 43, featuring a middleweight title fight and two quarterfinal bouts in the ongoing million euro Tipsport Gamechanger welterweight tournament.</p>
<p>The main event of the card at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic pitted middleweight champ Patrik Kincl against Karlos Vemola, in a grudge match between former friends (depending on who you ask, at least). The fight was a rematch of their 2018 meeting, which ended with Vemola winning a unanimous decision.</p>
