I would not be surprised if the UFC pulls off another Valentina/Sarj/JJ or Holly/Aspen/Amanda and lines up Rose for Weili instead of having Rose fight Andrade. It would be a bummer for Andrade but Rose vs. Weili would be far more marketable than Andrade vs. Weili if Andrade was to win against Rose. In an ideal world, neither Rose nor Andrade would be challenging for the title after suffering a lost in their last fight, but the SW division is far from ideal right now.

RE: other potential contenders, while Marina (not Mariana) did draw in her last fight, it was against a fighter that came in over weight and has since announced a move to 125. She is undefeated in her last 12 fights and like Xiaonan, her most notable victory is over a fighter on an extended losing streak. It’s too bad that her scheduled fight with Gadelha was cancelled as it could have been very telling for both fighters. Hope they’re able to reschedule it soon as the victor might be next in line to challenge for the title, or at least that much closer to doing so.
