Marijuana is not a performance enhancer. Selfish support of the fraudulent and racist claims by Aslinger is counter to the 70 percent of Americans and 76 percent of doctors that agree marijuana prohibition should be abolished. The UFC and any company governed by the backward NAC should be penalized for their blatant disregard of the American standard set forth by majority rule. Drug testing for marijuana is both good for probationers tasked with keeping prisons profitable and for companies supporting the test because it is the only substance detectable over a long period of time. Not to mention pharma, who keep their monetarily unmatched lobbyist fighting for laws favorable for their profits, and the rehabilitation clinics that would need to develop a different business model if they were to lose judicial decisions which keep their groups, and coffers full.

Recognize marijuana prohibition it for what it is, a political battering ram to destroy the lives of persons deemed unworthy of success, who in no other way harm society. Nick, like his brother, are role models for anyone walking a path that includes a chip on their shoulder. To bench either of them is a disservice to the community who pays your salary, and to the younger fans who gain inspiration by their life choices. I am not stating that marijuana is a great drug, I am simply stating that it is very much a part of American culture, and insisting that only alcohol and prescription opiates are relative to successful adult culture is both near sighted to general societal norms and blind to the real problems that plague America. Simply put, There is no room for ignorance within any authority. Society is waking up to the tax burden and ignorance that reefer madness and its lies have caused. Authorities who are supposed to enforce the status quo need to evolve to reflect the truth that the majority has come to understand. If they cant, then their authority should be stripped by forced vote.
